Liverpool inched a closer towards the Premier League title with a 4-0 drubbing against Crystal Palace at Anfield on Wednesday night. The win took Jurgen Klopp’s side to 86 points from 31 games. If Manchester City fails to win against Chelsea on Thursday then the club from Anfield will win the title without kicking a ball in 30 years.
Trent Alexander-Arnold opened the scoring for the Reds with a sensational free-kick before Mohamed Salah doubled their advantage a minute before the break. In the second half Fabinho made it three with a screamer before Sadio Mane with a deft finish made it 4-0 for Liverpool. The victory will ease the pressure of Liverpool after failing to win against Everton in the Merryside derby in their last match.
Mo Salah has been an inspiration for Liverpool as the Egyptian international scored his 15th goal in as many appearances in Anfield this season. He is now two goals (scored 17 goals so far) shy from winning the Golden Boot. Leicester’s Jamie Vardy has scored 19 goals so far.
