Dallas, TX – Paragon Innovation’s CEO, Mike Wilkinson continues to push forward with a strong giving program that helps promote new technologies, upcoming entrepreneurs, and innovation.
The company has contributed to the Texas A&M New Venture Competition (TNVC) for six consecutive years. During those years, Mike has been part of a selected group that evaluates finalists and top participants. In doing so, Mike has been an integral part of the success of the program promoting entrepreneurs and innovation. This year the COVID health crisis made it both challenging and rewarding. Thanks to technology and an advanced virtual platform, the event ran perfectly, and prizes were awarded to outstanding competitors.
In addition to being an active member and Judge, Paragon has also participated as a Gold Sponsor during the last three years. As a sponsor, Paragon donates $5,000 in cash toward the main prize pool and $10,000 for engineering services to a Winner. This year the Paragon prize was awarded to Allosense, Inc. “I am honored to be part of this initiative and other giving programs. It gives my team and the company an opportunity to lead by example and provide opportunities to engineers and executives in our field”. Said Mike Wilkinson, CEO at Paragon Innovations. “Our company has a strong community spirit – difficult times are an ideal opportunity to find the energy to help and be involved in supporting others”.
Mike also teams up with the Texas A&M Aggie Angel Network and helps put together an equity prize award for the TNVC. We collectively vote for our pick – this year we selected Allotrope Medical which also happened to be the 1st Place Winner of the TNVC main contest and received $50K in funding from the Aggie Angel Network.
“It is our pleasure to team up with Mike and Paragon Innovations to fund new technology that will impact our State. The reach and impact of the program would not be possible without sponsors like Paragon”. Said Chris Scotti, Chair at TNVC. “We look forward to a long-lasting relationship and continuing to work together to identify, coach, fund, and support outstanding science-and engineering-based startups”.
