FIORA® Brand Inspires People to Share their #FeelGoodMoment to Drive Community Involvement
LOS ANGELES, CA – FIORA® – a US-based household paper goods brand on a mission to make paper products that everyone can feel good about – has announced today an initial donation of $50,000, up to $100,000, to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. As many people struggle amid new challenges brought on by the recent coronavirus crisis, FIORA is taking action to support those in need. FIORA is calling on individuals, community leaders, local organizations and businesses to share their #FeelGoodMoment on social media – from short poems and inspiring stories, to photo moments of joy or feel-good songs – in order to further FIORA’s donation up to $100,000 in support to the Food Bank.
“We couldn’t sit back and watch the effects of this pandemic on our local community without taking initiative. As a brand, FIORA has deep roots in Southern California, with its parent company headquartered in Orange County and one of our three manufacturing facilities in the U.S. located in Moreno Valley,” said Carlos Rodriguez, FIORA Brand Marketing Director. “We’ve been so impressed by LA Regional Food Bank’s continued efforts and we’re honored to support such a worthy cause.”
Food distribution from the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank’s two distribution centers has increased by 80% in the last two months. Over fifteen million meals have been distributed since the crisis started in March. FIORA’s financial support will provide up to 400,000 meals for those in the local Los Angeles community who are most in need.
“We are incredibly appreciative of FIORA’s support. We have seen the need for food assistance spike dramatically amid the Coronavirus, and FIORA sets a great example for giving back to the community,” said Michael Flood, President, and CEO of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
As people everywhere struggle with the effects of COVID-19, individuals and communities are finding simple ways to reach out and make each other feel good. FIORA wants to turn those feel-good moments into a movement, inspiring community action, and connectedness. FIORA invites the community to share their stories using #FeelGoodMoment and FIORA will donate $5 to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, pledging up to $100,000.
