NASA Finalizes SpaceX For Future Lunar Gateway Cargo Missions

SpaceX had entered into a partnership with The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to become the delivery agent of the space organization to space for shipping cargo.

Dragon XL capsule of the company would be responsible for takeaway the necessary supplies to the space center which includes all the science experiments and supplies. The capsule has a capacity of about 5 metric tonnes which will stay up at the station for 12 months.

The basic aim to ship cargo to space is to help the astronomers and their team to collect various samples on their quest into space. The capsule will contain the required materials for the same. One of the key persons of SpaceX stated that the company is honored as well as really excited to continue to work beyond the Earth’s orbit.

The cargo would really help the astronomers to conduct spacewalks and various scientific experiments. As stated by NASA, they are already walking behind their schedules of various launches and missions, hence the Gateway will be only till now be responsible to ship cargo and not astronauts on the Moon planned for launch in 2024.

Until and unless the Coronavirus pandemic slows down the missions would go slowly and steadily since the USA is the worst affected country at present.
