According to a CNBC report, Slack is working on a method that you can use to call people using Microsoft Teams. You know, his biggest competitor.
“We are working on team integrations for call functions,” said Stuart Butterfield, CEO of Slack, during a call with RBC analyst Alex Zurkin on Thursday, according to CNBC. There’s no word on when such a feature would be available, but Slack is already integrating numerous Microsoft services like Outlook and OneDrive.

The fact that Slack is ready to incorporate team calls goes a step further than other office integrations, as teams are a direct rival. Given how many people work from home these days, this is a welcome step, provided the integration is earlier rather than later. Not surprisingly, both apps saw massive user growth during the corona virus pandemic.
