Hi, I’m Chris.
Back in my early twenties I started home brewing. A huge world of beer I never knew existed opened up to me. Great beer which was totally different from that mass produced, and an atmosphere where people enjoyed such things just for the sake of the flavor. I knew I wanted to be a part of bringing this to others. 35 years (and a more than a few beers) later, lots of self education, and support from people in the brewing community have opened up the door of opportunity.
I’m also a Wizard. Seriously.
When I was 18 I was apprenticed to a magician for a summer. That’s where I was bitten by the bug and learned about magic as a performance art. Almost 40 years later I still travel the country performing fairs and festivals, private and corporate events, and – best of all – bars and clubs. This is where the fun is. Working in an atmosphere where you are up close, talking with the audience, not just to them, and establishing relationships as you twist reality for them with a generous dose of laughter.
Hi, I’m Jenny.
In my early twenties I started exploring the world of beer. Big fan. Not yet brewing myself, I went to find them in their natural habitat – the taproom. Where my expertise lies is customer service – 30 years of it. Listening, learning and building relationships are the foundation of good customer service. They can transform a purchase into an experience, into a story that you share with your friends. I cannot think of a better way to spend an evening than having a beer, sharing a laugh, and bringing your friends back for another round. This is my vision for the Wizard Works taproom.
You’re getting great beer, a fun welcoming atmosphere created by people who understand enjoying your time out is more than just a craft beer in your hand. It’s a wonderful combination of the people you meet and speak with, the atmosphere and customer service you receive, and the quality of the brew you are sharing with friends old and new.
That is the inspiration for Wizard Works Brewing Company.
Beers will be quaffed. Tales will be told. Magic will be made.
We are looking to you, fellow Beer Enthusiasts, Wizards, and Good Friends to help us on this path. We have the space, we have the brewery equipment. We need to hang out a shingle with our name. We need to patch, paint and create the atmosphere we want to share and enjoy with you. We need to get our beer Out There. We are looking for funding for:
Risks and Challenges? There are always a multitude of these. We are doing our best to mitigate them. We have spent time working on a business plan, discussing the business with those in the trade and more experienced than we are, and sincerely discussing what we want to create and whether it is worth the risk to us. No, we can’t say we didn’t discuss this over beers. But we have plans made, the main brewery equipment purchased, a location obtained, and the will to see this through.
