Who I Am ( A short story about me ):
My name is Denis Kushtanashvili and Im a writer, programmer and a CINEAST.
My first contact with the world of television was at the beginning of the 2000s with the 90s series such as Batman, Spiderman or X-Men. It was simple content, without many pretensions beyond having fun, but one day it aired the series: Neon Genesis Evangelion, and F*** that was something totally different. During the 20 episodes that lasted, I kept surprising myself, the tone was much more adult than I was used to and most of the themes that other series infantilized here were treated more naturally. They showed light elements of terror, the mystery was always present and the protagonist was permanently in self-conflict. When the credits of each chapter arrived I just wanted to know more about this disturbing story and the main character, his world and the problems of Shinji Ikari (The protagonist). As the years went by, the silly box hypnotized me more and more, until 2007, the year that brought the great masterpiece of the television series for adults; Mad Men. In this last decade i was able to notify how film and television has softened the content produced slightly, hence the name “The Disney Era”. In Mad Men we go back to 50, sitting on the sofa of my house next to my father watching the screen at 11 at night I was reflected at that time, being part of it and the world that represents next to its protagonist, Don Drapper. Mad Men presents a character where the nuances of that century and decade reflected us in a tormented and lonely character where in each chapter he reached a new level and increasingly became someone dreary and twilight. Thats was when my passion for cinema grew for the fourth season of that series, and it hooked me to others like; Breaking Bad, The Sopranos and Death Note. So I started studying what I really loved, the cinema.
WHAT THE HELL IS “THE LAST TIE.” ABOUT!?
As I mentioned, i loved the cinema and the television shows, but as you can imagine this business is so hard when you think about the high budget productions. I tried so many many times to do something with it, but unfortunetly its pretty hard when you “aint” got a penny, so i decided to start a campaign trhough Kickstarter to make a whole 8 episodes ( 30 min. per episode ) low budget drama/adventure series.
Here´s your sinopsis:
Needalus is a man who loses his memories at the end of each day. When he realizes thanks to his visions, he tries to recover what he has lost by following the traces left by his self from the previous day. At one point, the visions become stronger and clearer, and in those visions a girl appears with whom he has a special bond. He must discover who she is and find he’s way back home, but the acts of his past will hinder the trip.
Pretty short, right? yeah… i know… but we got the full script of the first episode finished:
Yeah well its in spanish and we are working to translate it to English and French for our sponsors. Also we´re going to dub it to english as the trailer but with a better mic XD
Where goes all the budget?
ugh… what an ugly cheese.
We want to be honest to our backers and we will update and respond every questions everyday, and I personally want to thanks if you still reading this. Big hug from blackInk Prod. and big hug from me, Denis Kushtanashvili :).
We know that there are many risks, a lot of distrust and, above all, very little support for this type of project. As for the story, the last thing we want is to reveal what we are working on, we have been months of pre-production and we have run into the budget issue. The risk of this is the goal, because if we don’t get it all the project we have been working on will go to the badge. We have been trying to contact producers for months, we have made independent campaigns and we have looked for a multitude of ways to find financing, but without success. We don’t want to put pressure, force someone to donate much less, I* just want to motivate you to do it, and let me show you what I am building.
