NEFË is Canadian based online store. The name can be a bit daunting to say, but it is pronounced ” Neh-fay”. It is derived from a queen of Egypt, known as, Nefertiti. NEFË sells contemporary clothing and accessories influenced by the 70s/90s and some cultural aspects in limited quantities. Our items are very accessible to the everyday person who wants to express their individuality through their fashion. We keep our quantities limited to give our customers that exclusivity and that feeling knowing not everyone can get this drip! We are a very creative team with a lot of items waiting to be produced and that have generated a lot of interest. We greatly appreciate the interest and support from everyone we encounter, but our lack of available funding is delaying a lot of the production and marketing we could be doing in order to get these products to our customers.
We do as well try to be a conscious company, by using compostable tissue paper only to wrap our items as well as 100% compostable polymailers to send most and many of our items. We don’t feel the need to add more plastic and papers in the packaging. The clothes and items themselves are pretty dope.
We kind of started this project because we are individuals that love fashion, creativity but also love a good fun vibe. We’ve wanted to merge our two favourite decades (70s/90s) and make it contemporary with a mix of our backgrounds and influences from the others of our close ones. We’re pretty happy not following any trends because it’s in at the moment. We love a good play on words in some of our pieces that will get you to think a little bit outside the box. The limited quantity is our “piece de resistance” in the sense that even though we have a lot of items wanting to be produced, we’re very happy that pieces are limited and we get to move away from the “fast fashion” vibes that many company have these days. We pride on giving you a good quality product for the quantity it is available at! You may love this piece and this for you or someone that is the opposite of you might like something else you don’t necessarily get and that’s ok. Everything is and will always be cohesive that anyone can find something they’ll enjoy!
Of course our main target are women from 20-35 years old, but as we have a unisex section, the men fall into that same category as well. We couldn’t leave the men out, because we know some of our fun pieces there are stylish men out there willing and wanting to rock them!
Here is the Sade Omn puffer coat we want to produce, one of our most inquired item the moment we showcase the sample. A little break down of this jacket: Its a spring/fall puffer jacket . It is part of “The Sweetest Collection”- Our little homage to Sade. It has a pocket in the back. 2 front square pockets. An adjustable stand up neck and an adjustable bottom waist. It’s unisex. The yellow symbol is actually an Adinkra symbol (West African-Ghana Ashanti Kingdom) Kojo Baiden- meaning cosmos & omnipresence. As you can see, we try to mix the culture and the vibe in a contemporary fun way! -All our design our drawn and created by us.
A surprise item that we want to release as well , is a collaboration we did with a local artist. It’s a fun track set that comes in two different colors. We love this collaboration and received quite a bit of good feedback. We really want to release that one as well. We can’t show you the full set, but we will definitely give you a sneak peak!
There aren’t many stores in Canada that are on the map that we believe will bring the same type of vibes and ideas we have. A lot of them come from Outside of Canada. We want to put our company and maybe inspire others in the future that , hey Canada has some pretty dope things too!
We have already made the samples for each items and colours taking into consideration the various sizes we are. The main challenge is the production and shipping to us. We’ve checked the quality and noted small things that we’re easily fixable. We would prefer air shipping to reduce the time of shipment to us instead of sea which could take up to a month and a risk of damage and longer delays.
