2020 is a year that has a special meaning for me: this year I am going to produce my next album, ‘Al Hamra’, a combination of Arabic, Flamenco and Jazz music.
‘Al Hamra’ reflects my journey between Al Hamra street in Beirut and Al Hamra Castle in Granada.
It will be recorded with some of the best musicians in the flamenco and jazz scene in Spain: delicate pianist and instructor at Berklee College of Music Albert Sanz, Cajon and Percussion player Sergio Martinez, a Flamenco virtuoso who notably worked next to Pepe de Lucia, Al Di Meloa, Diego el Cigala, Enrique Morente…, versatile Masa Kamaguchi on double bass (Sonny Simmons, David Murray, Toots Thielmans) and monumental and special guest Jorge Pardo on flute (Chick Corea, Paco de Lucia, Camarón de la Isla).
‘Al Hamra’ is scheduled to be recorded in March 2020 and released in September 2020 in physical (CD) and digital formats (Spotify, Apple Music). A live performance music video and a video clip of the recording in Corsica will be released in the mean time.
We are also working on setting up tours for 2020-2021 in the Middle East, Europe and Asia to present ‘Al Hamra’.
Today, you can be part of this project and support the album to see the light in 2020 through donating to this campaign and through sharing it with your friends.
For your support, we will send you gifts including exclusive tracks, CDs, tickets to our concerts and other various rewards.

‘Al Hamra’ is supported by the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (Lebanon), Culture Resource (Al Mawred Al Thaqafy, Lebanon) and the VOCE National Center for Musical Creation (Corsica, France). Thanks to them, the budget that we must raise today is moderate but necessary. Funds received will allow us to finalise the production of our live performance video and the video clip of the recording.
