Vancouver, BC – December 19, 2019– League of Innovators (LOI), a national charity dedicated to providing young entrepreneurs with the much-needed support and resources to launch and scale their startups. Over the past two years, LOI has worked with over 110 youth founders from across Canada who are building startups in a variety of industries from aerospace, to adtech, to biotech, to food, to social networks and more. The Labs Virtual Incubator provides young entrepreneurs (25 years or younger) across Canada with a 12-week support system of expert programming, one on one coaching, live sessions with serial entrepreneurs and investors, a venture package valued at $30,000, and access to an incredible network of other youth entrepreneurs on the rise. The program is barrier-free meaning there are no fees, no equity, and no strings attached, and you can apply anywhere from the country.
League of Innovators alumni have gone on to be on the Forbes 30 under 30 list, Peter Thiel Fellows, YCombinator, 500 Startups, Techstars and Bumble Biz, and most importantly continue to build rising startups on their own terms.
“I was a young entrepreneur myself, and while I’m still young at heart, I’m now in the fortunate position to help accelerate and support young innovators and disruptors, by leveling the playing field and helping them to overcome unique challenges such as credibility, access to funds, and networks,” said Ryan Holmes, Board Chair of LOI. “I believe we can make a long-term impact in many local ecosystems and globally.”
League of Innovators acceleration programs are supported through a variety of partners – such as Hootsuite, RBC, Shaw Communication, Osler – who are committed to elevating the next generation of leaders to thrive. Prominent alumni include Madison Guy of GrantMe, Tara Bosch of SmartSweets, Saba Mohebpour of Spocket, as well as Taran and Bunny Ghatrora of Blume. “LOI has been such an incredible resource for us while growing and scaling Blume. We are so thankful for the great group of mentors to lean on and learn from”, said Taran Ghatrora, Co-founder Blume.
League of Innovators is currently accepting applications till December 31st for their Labs incubator and for their Launch accelerator residency.
