We made our initial goal in record time: 5 days! For all who donated, thank you so much for helping us get there. We are ecstatic that we can now begin executing our vision to build the store as we have described in our summary.
This fantastic show of support has also given us confidence to move forward with Phase Two of our plan ahead of schedule. Our Phase Two plan concentrates on what we envision to be the Lobo Mau Customer Experience. We want to move beyond the basics of a typical store to provide our customers with a personal, pleasant, and unique experience every time they visit us. With these stretch goals in mind, we will be able to enhance our current basic lighting, upgrade the existing rest room facility, and other improvements to our basic store design that will provide a comfortable, relaxed, and aesthetically pleasing environment.
With this amazing momentum, we are asking that all of our supporters to CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THIS KICKSTART INITIATIVE. All additional funds beyond our goal for this will go towards our Phase Two plans. For those of you who are interested in helping us achieve this next step in our vision, we are still offering our unique Lobo rewards as a thank you.
On to phase two! Goal set at $35,000.
We are Lobo Mau, a brother and sister run clothing line. We have been a leader in slow, sustainable fashion for 11 years and have received press, grants, and the Best of Philly award for sustainability. We are ready to take our next big step: opening a flagship store in Queen Village, Philadelphia.
This highly trafficked neighborhood will not only provide a means to sharing Lobo Mau’s unique clothing with the world, it will be a hub for sustainable designers, artists, community engagement, as well as a destination for slow fashion, with the goal of bringing likeminded people together.
Our Plan: By ISA – Interface Studio Architects, Philadelphia
We have carefully planned this project for two years, from sourcing the location, neighborhood, and choosing the space, to design and timeline management. We have worked with architects, builders, and fabricators, all Philadelphia-based, small businesses, to design the space, and have carefully reviewed timelines and budgets to make this a realistic, attainable, and cost-effective goal. We need your help to reach our goal of $20,000 and we hope to surpass that amount. If we exceed our goal we will be able to expedite further improvements to the space.
We are offering you a wide range of rewards: 100% organic Tees with 100% organic ink; Zero Waste Neckties made with our production remnants; Wolf Logo Sweatshirts; our best-selling Pom Jacket in LIMITED Kickstarter-only varieties; personalized screen-printing classes; and Lobo Mau owners Nicole + Jordan Haddad throwing you your own personal party in our 1800-square-foot facility at BOK!
Risks and challenges with this project: we are a small business. We need the support from our community to take on projects to grow our company. If building does not happen on time, or if we run out of funding when new challenges arise with the store project, it’s always safe to have a plan b. While our capital is limited, Lobo Mau as a company is in good standing with lenders, both public and private, who are able to help us overcome any potential financial challenges that could arise.
