IGNITE is a bi-annual conceptual zine based in the Philippines that aims to give you a glimpse into the modern age of Filipino culture. Each issue is represented through the IGNITE logo’s color. The fire and orange hues of IGNITE’s logo represent the warm and homey feeling that our zine wants to depict.
Our debut issue’s theme is “Tahanan” — which means “home” in Tagalog. The theme explores the idea, ‘what makes a Filipino feel at home?’ bringing light to the comfort we find even in the most mundane things — from the MRT rides over the Guadalupe bridge, to the myths and legends that our grandparents used to tell us.We want to tell these stories through the lens of various Filipino artists living in the metropolitan and regional Philippines, and abroad.

The zine is 80% finished! What’s left of what we have to do are the rest of the animations! Animating is incredibly time-consuming and we want to take our time to deliver the best product!
