Gaye Magazine is the hottest LGBT “blogazine “currently emerging in the social media sphere! With over 200 thousand weekly impressions on Instagram and a loyal following, whom we call The Gayes; we are proud to be taking our brand to the next level in media for our supporters!
Originally founded by Dominique Wall in 2015 as a simple school project, he later dropped everything in his hometown in Virginia to move to Atlanta. His dream of shifting LGBT culture forward by reaching people who have little to no voice within the community officially began. Though plenty of stories and cool features were published digitally online after his move, Dominique struggled to get eyes on his publication consistently to make a profit.
Fast forward two years later, Dominique partners with Korey McRae, a recent journalism graduate of Georgia State University. Together, they re-branded Gaye Magazine as a “blogazine”, which uses the power of social media to attract people to trending topics, news and exclusive features instead of using the traditional marketing strategies of competing magazines.
This unique strategy mixed with Gaye’s niche lens ultimately began attracting the attention of notable LGBT celebrities and influencers in the community, such as Amiyah Scott, TS Madison, Tokyo Stylez, Angelica Ross, Big Freedia, Billy Porter, Lee Daniels and more!
Our uniqueness here at Gaye stems from us being an LGBT “blogazine”, which is a fusion of a blog and a magazine. Blog wise, we interact with our supporters aka The Gayes on our social media platforms informally by sharing daily news, celebrity gossip, trending topics and funny videos/memes that represent our culture and lifestyle, which in turn creates an online forum for the LGBT community to consistently share opinions and engage with one another.
Now that we have mastered the blog aspect of our brand to gain a loyal following, we now seek to make our mark within the magazine publishing industry. With your support, our blogazine will be able to compete with mainstream publications with a unique advantage.
Bi-monthly digital issues (6 issues), which will cover entertainment news, fashion, travel, lifestyle articles and various upcoming stars, entrepreneurs and celebrities within the LGBTQ community.
At Gaye, our mission is to embrace everyone everywhere to help educate, entertain, and empower through a positive platform. The success of the magazine stems from its unique community based focus. From every writer to every reader, to every feature, we aim to place rising stars in the limelight because every step forward for one is a step forward for all.

Currently, our entire staff is powered by volunteer based support. We are extremely grateful for each and every member on our team for believing in our vision enough to stand with us during our growth. Without the ability to pay our writers, we struggle with consistency of daily articles and impromptu event coverage. We are hopeful that with the success of our Kickstarter we will be that much closer to offering paid incentives for our writers and team members
