** PLEASE NOTE ** This is an “All Or Nothing” Campaign, so if I do not reach my goal, no charges will be made to any backer.
My name is April Cushman and I am a singer/songwriter from this tiny town in Southwestern NH, called Swanzey. For those who don’t know me too well, I recently in March of 2019 became a full time musician and songwriter. I have been privileged to work with some of the most brilliant writers I know, who have helped bring my stories to life, along with a Nashville Grammy Awarded producer, who gives the upmost support to the artists he works with. Music is my life, and my way to help bring others together, like you, in the form of a song! If music moves you, you know what I mean.
Being a full-time musician has it’s incredible highs (like sharing a tear while performing with those relating), and has it’s lows (like funding projects while still being a Mom, wife, and paying the beautiful bills of adulthood). So, here is where you come in! I am looking to some of the most loyal, supportive and loving fans/family members & friends (that’s YOU!), to help make this album come to life. Some of these songs you have come to know and sing along to at live shows, and some of these songs you have never heard before.
WHY $11,000?
The motivation that I have had to share these stories, to play 5-6+ shows a week, is because of YOU. You have all shared my songs with your friends, family.. have referenced me to venues, agents.. You SHOW UP, and now is the best time to continue doing so! If you want to help support this record, and be part of bringing my stories to life, select and donate to the best package that suits you, and let’s get this thing started! I love you all, each individually, for the love and support you consistently show.
Cheers to the making of The Long Haul. xo, April
The risks and challenges that come along with releasing music, is simply time time and finances that it takes to complete them and release them not for myself, but for you. As you all know, I am a mom to the most spirited and incredible little girl God could have ever given to me, and I dedicate a lot of time and effort into our relationship. With parental responsibilities comes adult responsibilities, like a mortgage, bills, and the every day necessities to keep the process going. With music, it takes a lot of additional finances to support recording, releasing and promoting original material, when any additional funds go to mostly home needs, or back into equipment and travel expenses, to be able to make music work full time. My plan is to overcome these humps, with the help of all of you who constantly show up and support my dream. So let’s do this!
