This charming, brightly colored picture book details the exciting adventure of a boy and his animal friends as he talks to God in his own way!
Have you ever wondered if God hears your prayers? Maybe you think you are too small to pray. No way! You can talk to God anytime in your own special way. You can even talk to Him while you play! My Prayer contains vibrant, eye catching illustrations by Nazarina Power that will excite the senses and keep your infants, toddlers and preschoolers engaged. Parents can use this delightfully joyful book to show their little ones that they are never too small to pray! I wanted this book, My Prayer, to illustrate how children can start connecting with God through prayer and praise and form their own relationship with Him.
This book was inspired by many talks that I have had with my own children about living a life of prayer and praise. Sometimes it can be intimidating for little ones to talk to the creator of the whole universe. My little ones have always asked me what they should say and I would always tell them to talk to God just like they would talk to me or anyone else. God loves our little ones just the way that they are and He wants to hear from them. He wants to hear the way they praise and He wants to hear their heart through prayer. I am passionate about helping children get to know Jesus! Prayer and praise are the tools they need to communicate what they are feeling to God and I believe that communication with God will help them to navigate through life with peace, love and joy instead of the worry, fear and anxiety that so many young people feel in this chaotic world.
I am so excited to share the book cover! I love the colors and the characters are so adorable! Nazarina Power illustrated the book and she did a phenomenal job! Every illustration fit the ideas I had in my head perfectly and gave life and movement to the words. We are now finalizing the rest of the pages and getting ready to put the final book together for print!
I purposely did not give our main character a name because I wanted every reader to be able to insert themselves into the story like the praise and prayer is coming from them. The development of the main character was extremely exciting for me. I sent a picture of my son to give Nazarina some idea as to what I wanted the character to look like and she nailed it.
Here is a sample of 1 of the beautiful pages you will see in the book. Seeing the progression from the original sketches to the final full color pages has been so exciting. We are in the homestretch and WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Risks are extremely low. We have spent a great deal of time on this project and we have also spent time researching the market and seeing what will work best so we are confident that with your help we will be successful. One of the challenges we will face is getting our orders in on time. Once the kickstarter is over we will be able to place the order for our books, but with the holidays approaching we may not be able to get them to our backers until January.
