HUMAN TRAFFICKING is a global epidemic that has put between 20 and 40 million people today into modern slavery. Recent news is littered with more of these criminals being caught every day and some of our children being brought home. But that is not where the story ends. It is where ours begins.
Every year, an estimated 300,000 American children are at risk of being lured into the sex trade, some as young as six years old. On average, two children are sold every minute, and it is thought that up to 90 percent of victims are never rescued. READ THAT AGAIN. 90%. And for the 10% that are returned home, PTSD, depression and suicide are the norm as they struggle to re-enter society, many without any resources within reach to give them any hope of healing. This is where you come in.
OVERCOMER actor Cameron Arnett, starring as Special Agent Colbert, believes the time is NOW for us to all stand together and demand a change. “Adriana’s story is now America’s story,” he says. “Our children are now targets of predators, causing a demand for all our collective voices and efforts to speak a resounding NO!” As he joins us on this mission, we ask that you do as well.
Your support will send a message of hope to the 40 million victims that are enslaved and even more to those that are rescued that we WILL fight for them. We WILL do all we can to bring them home. WE WILL PROVIDE RESOURCES FOR THEIR HEALING.
Stolen, our thank you for a $25 donation,is the true story of one survivor who escaped–more than once. First recruited while staying with her family at a hotel in Miami Beach, Katariina Rosenblatt was already a lonely and abused young girl who was yearning to be loved and spent years trapped in a child prostitution ring.
Your gift of $50 will give you a choice of tshirt that will not only support this project but also help open conversations in your neighborhood and workplace, helping raise awareness and giving opportunities to share with all those around you that these victims are not alone and that you are fighting for them.
Once our initial goal here is met, Phase 1 will allow us to to put all the logistics into place to begin this project. With your help, we will begin filming on November 18! All gifts given above the first $15,000 will go directly to the production of this project and begin meeting the needs for Phase 2, which will last through Dec 4. Once we have wrapped principle photography, post production will immediately begin in anticipation of our 2020 theatrical release. Among the perks listed is a $10,000 Associate Producer Package. Please contact us if you are interested in an Executive Producer credit, available at $25,000. THANK YOU for your gift of any amount. ALL donors at any level will be thanked in the credits unless they wish to remain anonymous.
We will not be silent. This matters far too much, and the lives of our children are at stake. We MUST raise awareness. We MUST increase resources for victims. We MUST PUT AN END to this horrific crime. Please, please stand with us. Visit the perks section and consider how you will join us in this fight.
We need $100,000 to complete this project, and we begin in just 2 weeks. And we have already secured theatrical release…! The miracles that have already happened behind the scenes tell us that the show must go on. So here we stand, at the edge of the unknown, trusting that you will join us in this mission so we can see it through to completion and on to the big screen to raise awareness and to offer hope and healing through increased victim resources- it is time to STAND!
