At Grim Workshop, we create the world’s most compact everyday carry and survival gear. Our newest adventure is a full fishing kit that can fit into your wallet, on a necklace, or even a keychain. A full tackle box of gear you can drop in your pocket.
Every steel tool we make was designed, manufactured, and had its materials sourced right here in the U.S.A. Grim’s goal is to bring you wearable, affordable, and high quality EDC Gear while removing pounds, not ounces, from your backpack. This newest fishing kit was designed to give you everything you need (and more) in three sizes, as well as one kit with all the new tools in it.
Check below to see all our different rewards.
A full sized fishing kit that is small enough to fit in your wallet, or drop into a small tin. The credit card tools included in this campaign are as follows.
An ultra-light fishing kit that can fit on a necklace or keychain. Multiple dog tags can be stacked inside one silencer and chain. Grim’s Dog Tag tools included in this campaign are as follows.
Our smallest option is about the size of a large paperclip and each tool weighs just a couple of grams. This tool line was designed to fit onto a keychain and can stack up to three of our micro tools inside a micro tool silencer to be carried as a set.
Our Micro Tool lineup is as follows.
Each of these tools was tested by everyone here at Grim Workshop, but we are also fortunate enough to work with some of the top survival and bushcraft experts. These men help us by testing and giving suggestions on our tools. They even have tools we proudly make for them as a part of our “Signature” line of products. Our new tools have been tested by experts Bob Hansler, Zachary Fowler, and Wayne Russell (to name a few) who between them have over half-a-million followers on YouTube and have spent most of their lives out in the bush. Here’s a bit of info on our go-to guys whenever we make a new piece of gear!
Bob Hansler – Expert in bushcraft, wilderness survival instructor, wilderness first aid certified, wilderness first responder, primitive skills as well as a certified shooting instructor. Bob’s former life as a biologist and teacher aids him in his understanding of the natural world around him, as well as the animal kingdom and its inner workings. Bob is an experienced horseman, farrier, blacksmith, as well as a leather worker. Bob has been a lifetime advocate of the Boy Scouts, and is an Eagle Scout himself. For more information on Bob, and to see some of his skills in action and incredible adventures with his dog Huck, check out his channel on YouTube HERE
Zachary Fowler – Surviving 87 days in the wilderness of Patagonia, Zachary Fowler, or more commonly known as just “Fowler” is not only a winner of History Channel’s Alone series, but he also holds a record on the show for the longest stretch of time spent alone by any contestant, which is currently 87 days. Not only is Zach an expert in bushcraft, but he’s also an expert marksman with a slingshot, winning numerous competitions and awards for his skill. If that’s not enough, check him out on his YouTube channel where he’s hunted numerous animals, rattlesnakes, and more with nothing but his trusty slingshot. Check out Zach’s channel on YouTube HERE
Wayne Russell – Wayne, also known as Kull Craven, has over 35 years experience in the bush. He’s not just an avid outdoorsman but a survival instructor as well, sharing his skills, as well as tips and tricks with his students. On his YouTube channel he’s hoping to help folks enjoy the outdoors as he has for a lifetime. Check out his adventures in the Canadian wilderness on his channel on YouTube HERE
Fishing isn’t just a fun hobby, it’s a skill. “Give a man a fish, and feed him for a day” but give a man a fishing kit, and feed him for a lifetime! Knowing how to feed yourself is an invaluable skill, especially in a survival situation. However, these aren’t just great for a survival kit. All of Grim’s tools were designed to give you a backpack load of gear in your pocket. That means we can remove pounds of gear from a hiking or camping kit. Just slip your Grim gear into your tin, bag, or pocket and you’re good to go. Our gear was designed to save pounds, not ounces.
Our goal is to create a survival, first aid, and tool kit that’s as comprehensive as a backpack full of gear, but small enough to fit into your pocket. All our tools are created from artisan craftsmen and women here in the U.S.A. That allows us complete control over the quality and design of our product, as well as direct control on the materials used. Making our tools in the U.S.A also means that we have the advantage of not just creating tools quickly, but also improving them by leaps and bounds over very short periods of time. That’s why we’re constantly adding new tools to our ever expanding line of EDC gear. Just a few short years ago we had 4 different tools, now we have nearly 100.

So, you love our Kickstarter? You want to give this as a gift? No problem! While we will start fulfilling orders as soon as our campaign ends, we can’t guarantee any rewards by Christmas. We will be shipping immediately following the end of our campaign, so many rewards should arrive before Christmas. However, we can’t guarantee any rewards by Christmas. We will have printable gift certificates any backer can print to have something tangible for their gift recipient that explains what their rewards are, and that they’ll be coming soon. We also have a monthly membership that makes a great gift. Check it out HERE
This is our Fifth campaign, so we’ve done this more than a few times now. This campaign will end right before Christmas, so we understand many of these rewards will be given as gifts. We have an agreement with our manufacturers, and they have allowed us to begin placing orders as soon as we meet our funding goal, and will begin production immediately so that hopefully, as soon as our campaign ends, we can send out surveys the same day, and begin fulfilling immediately to get as many rewards as we can out before Christmas. To be clear, we will ship as many rewards as we can before Christmas, but we by no means can promise your rewards by Christmas. We will however, have a gift certificate available that you can insert into a stocking or give as a gift, of whatever rewards you have purchased, if this will be given as a gift. This way if your rewards don’t arrive by Christmas, you’ve got a stand in, until they get there.
