Creatively Queer Press was founded to give a voice to LGBTQ+ creators who are largely ignored by the entertainment industry.
Our bilingual Spanish/English stories are great for students of either language, at any grade level. Cuentos is a fun, imaginative introduction to Latinx+ mythology for writers and artists looking for new sources of inspiration.
Cuentos embodies the storytelling tradition with a contemporary spin, creating a timeless addition to any book enthusiast’s collection. Our book is meant to be shared with you and those important to you. Cuentos will make a thoughtful and original gift for friends and family interested in fantasy art, myths and legends, groundbreaking indie publications, or supporting LGBTQ+ and BIPOC creative communities.
Every pledge helps us share these stories, these Cuentos, with you. May you enjoy them, learn from them, and pass them down to the next generations. Thank you, gracias, and welcome to our many Cuentos!

Tell me a story, please.
Many children have asked a variation of these words to their guardians, asking for a tale to be told. And our ancestors responded with many stories. From the legends of La Llorona — the weeping woman who drowned her own children, only to be cursed to wander the earth forever as a ghost — to the frightening morality fables featuring Satan himself, our lore has always had a tinge of tragedy and terror to them.
Cuentos aims to put these legends front and center for a modern audience. Featuring art from primarily Latinx artists, Cuentos showcases their artistic interpretations of the various monsters and myths found across Latin America, Spain, and the Philippines — as all of these nations are connected both culturally and historically. Curated by Luis Silva, the founder of Creatively Queer Press, Cuentos is a full-color art and story book that acts as a primer for those unfamiliar with these legends, and as a fresh take for those who are.
Now let us tell you a story, for our people have many.
