Miami, FL – October 2019
SunVessel, a local transportation company, launched its first batch of smart charging stations for electronic and robotic personal devices at its inaugural location at Building.co in Brickell, Miami.
Among those present at the launch was Miami-Dade County Mayor, the Hon. Carlos A. Gimenez, who effortlessly rode SunVessel’s personal mobility device and later mentioned that SunVessel will “transform the way we travel around our county.”
Sebastian Gomez Puerto, SunVessel’s Founder and CEO has built a purely local team of designers and engineers who have worked hand-in-hand with community partners to create “the ultimate transportation amenity” for properties such as offices, residential buildings, and hotels.
Among these community relationships have been SunVessel’s ongoing relationship with Building.co and Ironhack, the nation’s #1 coding bootcamp.
“The digital presence of SunVessel from the coding of the website to the UX/UI design of the app and website was created and built by the enthusiasm and generosity of Ironhack students. We will continue to build Miami into a strong ecosystem through collaboration, but we’re just one part of the puzzle. It’s not enough to have enthusiastic people who want to help, we also need people who want to take a chance on new talent. Sebastian was willing to open up his company and solicit the help of the community where he was launching, and together we have been able to contribute to the disruptive transportation industry, ” mentions Alia Poonawala, General Manager of Ironhack.
“SunVessel approached us for their launch and demonstrated what a unique amenity they were creating for our members. Supporting great entrepreneurs and new technology is at the core of what we do, so this was a no-brainer for us”, said Building.co founder Jose Rasco.
SunVessel’s first location at Building.co has already been a success, achieving hundreds of rides and numerous fans including Dan Herrera, the Director of Investments at Miami Angels who commented that “with little time between meetings throughout the day, I have found a lot of value in being able to count on SunVessel to get me to those meetings in a fraction of the time that it would otherwise take me.”
With more interested locations in the pipeline, SunVessel looks to expand its network of stations in a way that integrates organically with properties and its community.
