WeatherBug is a provider of weather information services, managing and operating a proprietary network of over 8,000 WeatherBug Tracking Stations and more than 1,000 cameras that are placed at schools, public safety facilities and television stations throughout the U.S. These weather stations generate live neighborhood level reports every second.

He has a knack for picking the diamond out of the rough, whether that be an entrepreneur or new start up. Bob co-founded Selby and led its investments in 3ware, Fabric7, Hotrail, OnSite, and Silicon Packets, among others, and currently serves on the board of Bay Microsystems, Fabric7 Systems, OnSite Systems, Triformix and Sierra Monitor.
After starting his career as an engineer at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, Bob was a co-founder and COO of Tandem Computers, a company he helped grow from its inception to over $2.3 billion in annual revenues before it was sold to Compaq for $3 billion. At Tandem, Bob oversaw more than 10,000 employees worldwide, and was also responsible for the Companys corporate venture investments.
Bill Laffey is vice president of support for Earth Networks. In this role, he is responsible for leading the advertising operations and professional client services department. He works closely with sales management to understand and manage workflow, while monitoring revenue and sales forecasts. Additionally, he works with outside vendors to monetize inventory across web and mobile properties. Laffey is part of the WeatherBug advertising operations team, which is a two-time winner of the prestigious ASPY award for Customer Service. The ASPYs recognizes the best work performed by advertising media sales organizations.
Laffey joined Earth Networks in 2000, when the company introduced the WeatherBug desktop application. He played a key role in building brand awareness and increasing the user base for the application, and establishing internal support processes. He has held his current position since 2008.
