Cindy Padnos is founder and managing partner of Illuminate Ventures, an early stage Micro VC firm focused on cloud computing. Cindy has deployed over $100 million in venture funding to help dozens of start-ups reach successful outcomes including prior portfolio companies Red Aril (acq. Hearst Corporation) and WildPockets (acq. Autodesk).

Reed Taussig has more than 30 years of experience in the computer hardware and software fields. Prior to ThreatMetrix, Mr. Taussig was president and CEO of Vormetric, Inc., a leader in data privacy and protection. Under his leadership, Vormetric established itself as a leading provider of encryption solutions for the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards industry.
Mr. Taussig also served as president and CEO of Callidus Software (NASDAQ: CALD), the leading provider of enterprise incentive compensation management application systems. As founding CEO and the fifth employee, Mr. Taussig led the growth of company to more than $70 million in revenues and over 350 employees.
Prior to Callidus Mr. Taussig was the president and CEO of inquiry.com, a pioneer in the B2B Internet space as well as senior vice president of operations for Gupta Technologies, the leader for PC client server software development tools and databases. Mr.

John P. Ward, Jr.
John brings over 20 years of investment and operating experience to Key Venture Partners with a focus on Cloud Computing, telecommunications, data services and information technology businesses. He currently serves as a board member of Fusion Media Group, Band Digital, Xactly, and airBand Communications and his prior board responsibilities with KVP have included ServiceCEO (acquired by Marathon Data Systems), Opsource (acquired by Nippon Telephone & Telegraph, NYSE: NTT) and Airwide (acquired by Mavenir).
John joined the firm in late 2006.
Previously, he was a General Partner at M/C Venture Partners where he was responsible for leading investments in the communications and IT industries. His investments and board level responsibilities included Fusepoint Managed Services (acquired by Savvis, NASDAQ: SVVS), Vertical Communications, Intellireach (acquired by Infocrossing, now Wipro, NYSE: WIT), Nuvox Communications (acquired by Windstream, NYSE: WIN), Attenda Ltd.

Eric Di Benedetto has been a professional investor in software start-ups in Silicon Valley for the last two decades. The aggregate market capitalization of companies Eric sponsored as an angel investor or venture capitalist reached several billion dollars at the time his investments were realized. Eric was profiled in Business Week (“Go West, Young Whiz”), in The European (“Where the Brains Drain”), and in The Red Herring (“Growing Wings”).
After a successful career as a venture capitalist, Eric established Active Starts as an angel investment firm focused on the coaching and financing needs of San Francisco Bay Area software entrepreneurs within a year from product launch. Active Starts leads or participates in investment syndicates whose mission is to bridge start-up companies to market validation. Once a market opportunity has been proven, more traditional venture capital firms usually follow in subsequent rounds of financing.

Kathy Do
Kathy leads MapRs accounting and finance team and is responsible for the financial management of the company. Prior to MapR, Kathy held the corporate controller position at Ravix Group, Xactly Corporation, Rainfinity, and SQRIBE. She has led companies by developing solid infrastructure in accounting and operations at start-up stage through successful growing companies. Her broad experience includes accounting system setup and implementation, foreign subsidiary expansion, financial planning, and cash management.
Kathy has a B.S in Business Administration from San Francisco State University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
