E. Barry Smith joined Aria as the Chief Financial Officer of Aria in December 2006. Prior to joining Aria, Barry was CFO of Telkonet (AMEX: TKO). He is a CPA and senior financial executive with diversified experience in both public and private companies. From September 1987 to February of 2003, Barry was employed as a financial partner and retained as a consultant with Safeguard Scientifics (NYSE: SFE) and its subsidiary companies, including ThinAirApps, Inc. (a wireless application provider that was sold to Palm, Inc.), Interactive Marketing Venture (a database marketing company) and Tangram Enterprise Solutions (a developer of software/hardware for PC/LAN mainframe connectivity and enterprise software management). His professional background also includes big-four public accounting experience with the accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche.

Steve Booth joined Aria Systems in 2008 as the Vice President of Sales. Steve is responsible for setting Aria’s sales strategy and driving revenue growth through enterprise customer base expansion. Steve is a seasoned sales executive, bringing over 20 years of enterprise solution sales and sales management experience to Aria. Prior to joining Aria, Steve held senior sales management positions with QlikTech, Responsys, ADP, and Portal Software. Steve holds a BS in Marketing and Finance from LaSalle University.
Ed Sullivan is the Founder and CEO of G2Link. A serial entrepreneur, he also founded Aria Systems, the first on-demand billing software and LaserLink.net (acquired by Covad), the first and largest Virtual Internet Service Provider in the world.
Bruce Cleveland is the Board Observer of Doximity Inc.
He has been part of InterWest’s IT team since 2006, focusing on investments in the software and services sector with an emphasis on mobile, Cloud Computing and analytical applications.
He is currently an investor in Aria Systems, Cloud9 Analytics, Doximity, Get Satisfaction, Marketo, Signal Demand, Workday.
Bruce also serves on the C3 Board of Advisors a start up focused on Energy and Resource Management applications.
Prior to joining InterWest, Cleveland held Senior Executive roles in Engineering, Product Management and Marketing with companies such as Apple, AT&T, Oracle, Siebel Systems.
He is credited by Forbes and IDC with creating the most effective alliance program in the software industry.
Cleveland attended the United States Military Academy, West Point, and received a B.S. in business administration from CSU, Sacramento.

Prior to joining Hummer Winblad Venture Partners Lars was involved in founding and operational roles at start-up companies. He was a co-founder of AutoFarm (now Novariant), a company focused on GPS and robotics. Lars was in charge of strategy, product marketing, business development and building the sales team across three continents. While Lars spends less time programming now, he started his technical career coding and hacking computer games. He is the holder of several US patents.
Lars is an avid sailor and a former member of the Canadian Sailing Team.
Mike Tyrrell joined Venrock in April 1999 in the firms Cambridge office. His focus is on Internet, Mobile, Application Software, and Enterprise Infrastructure.
He previously spent nine years at Spyglass (NASDAQ:SPYG), a Venrock portfolio company which licensed the first Internet browser Mosaic to many of the worlds leading software, online services, and device companies including Microsoft. Mike was the sixth employee, held a variety of executive positions including Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, and helped take the company public in 1995.
Prior to Spyglass, Mike was a very early employee at two venture funded, UNIX systems start-ups, Multiflow Computer and Celerity Computing, and began his career at Prime Computer.Mike currently sits on the boards of AppNexus, Appia, Aria, Bizo, Boundless Learning, eIQ Networks, Gazelle, and Zoom Information.
At Bain Capital Ventures I focus on stage-agnostic investments in software infrastructure, such as ZeroTurnaround (zero downtime for Java apps), DynaTrace (application performance management; acquired by Compuware), Garantia (the Redis NoSQL database), Hazelcast (open-source in-memory data-grids), and others. Prior to Bain, at Bay Partners I invested $85M into 20 companies including SpringSource (open source; acquired by VMware), Buddy Media (Facebook marketing platform; acquired by Salesforce.
Mark Gorenberg is a Managing Director of Hummer Winblad Venture Partners. Mark joined co-founders Ann Winblad and John Hummer as Hummer Winblad Venture Partners began investing our first fund in 1990.
Prior to Hummer Winblad Venture Partners Mark was at Sun Microsystems where he managed emerging new media areas and was a member of the original SparcStation team.
Over the last 20 years Mark has served as a board member for numerous successful Hummer Winblad start-ups, including Omniture (IPO and acquired by Adobe), AdForce (IPO and acquired by CMGI), NetDynamics (acquired by Sun Microsystems) and Scopus Technologies (IPO and acquired by Siebel) and Crowdfactory (acquired by Marketo).
Currently, he serves as a Director of 6connect, Cenzic, Domo, Signal Demand, OptiMine, and InsideSales.
Ray joined Venrock in 1988 and after nearly 20 years and over 40 investments, his passion for building companies continues. His venture capital career has its roots at Yankee Atomic Electric as a nuclear engineer, at Sun Microsystems and with two failed startups. An engineer at heart with a keen insight into product markets, Ray loves to tinker with technology. In addition to venture capital, he serves on the Board of Trustees of the Texas A&M Foundation, where he chairs the investment committee. Ray also serves on the Visiting Committee of the MIT Nuclear Science and Engineering Department.
Ray currently serves on the board of Check Point Software, an alumni investment.
Andy Frizzell joined Aria Systems in 2008 as the Vice President of Customer Operations. Andy is responsible for all customers and partners in the areas of solution creation, implementation, training, and support. Andy has over 15 years of professional services experience with CSG Systems, Portal Software, Datasweep and Bricsnet, managing and supporting enterprise software solutions nationally and internationally. Andy has a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from The University of Texas at Austin.
