Taskforce was founded in 2010 by [Niccolo Pantucci](http://www.crunchbase.com/person/niccolo-pantucci) and [Courtland Allen](http://www.crunchbase.com/person/courtland allen), and received seed funding from [Y Combinator](http://www.crunchbase.com/company/y-combinator), and since launching publicly in Februrary 2011 has been attracting tens of thousands of users.

Courtland Allen is a web developer, designer, and entrepreneur. He graduated from MIT in June 2009 with a degree in computer science.
Nic is co-founder of Tyrant Inc., makers of Taskforce and Siasto. He grew up in Britain, was educated at Cambridge, and has been involved in startups since 2003.
Prior to founding Taskforce, Niccolo worked at LiveRail and focused primarily on partnerships, business development, and marketing.
He is also a mentor at Seedcamp, the European based micro seed fund that invests in startup companies.
