Jennifer brings more than 18 years of experience working with private and public management teams and institutional investors.
Most recently she was a member of the Golden Seeds angel investor network, where she analyzed early stage investment opportunities, and worked with entrepreneurs in designing more effective business strategies.
She has also provided start-up mentoring for entrepreneurs through Springboard and the MIT Entrepreneurship Center.
She is the founder of the Reed College Start-Up Lab and has served as a first round judge for the MIT $100K and MassChallenge business plan competitions. She recently served as Entrepreneurship Lead for the MIT Accelerating Information Technology Innovation program sponsored by Google in Cali, Colombia, where she lead 30 young entrepreneurs in a six week lean start-up program to form ten new mobile technology companies, and connect them to mentors, angel and venture investors in the region.
Phil is a managing general partner at ABS Capital Partners, whose investment interests and experience include business services companies.
He currently represents ABS Capital on the boards of eFashionSolutions, LLC; Liquidity Services, Inc.; Payformance Corporation; Rosetta Stone, Inc.; Renew Data Corp.; and Restaurant Technologies, Inc. Phil also serves on the board of American Public Education, Inc., a former ABS portfolio company. He previously served on the boards of Advanced Disposal Services, Inc. and Rainmaker Systems, Inc.
Prior to joining ABS Capital in 2001, Phil gained operating experience from his years at SITEL Corporation, the global leader in providing outsourced call-center services to large corporations, where he was chief executive officer and president from 1998 to 2001.
While at SITEL, Phil grew both revenues and EPS significantly, as well as established relationships with corporations such as GM, America Online, Siebel, and IBM.
