Mr. Heald received an MBA from Cranfield School of Management (U.K.).
Charlie Blackburn is a co-founder of BrightTALK and currently serves as chief operating officer from BrightTALKs U.K. headquarters in London, England. Previously, he was vice president of European operations for Scient. He also developed the Investment Banking practice at Pyramid Imaging in San Francisco after starting he career at Accenture. Blackburn earned a first class honors degree from Manchester University (U.K.) in Mechanical Engineering.
Jan McDaniel joined BrightTALK in 2008 as the chief marketing officer. During her career in marketing, she has worked for and advised some of the largest business-to-business technology companies, including Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, Oracle, and Apple. During her 16 years at Hewlett-Packard, she was responsible for launching and sustaining momentum for major products and contributed to the HP/Compaq merger team. In 2005, she joined Intel, where she managed the companys enterprise marketing and brand strategy. Ms. McDaniel holds a bachelors of science degree from the University of California, Davis.
Richard Heald manages the growth of the companys global customer base as executive vice president of sales at BrightTALK. Since joining BrightTALK in 2002, he has led the companys sales effort from its market entry to its current rapid growth phase. Before joining BrightTALK, Mr. Heald was an associate director at Schroder Investment Management and previously held similar roles at HSBC Bank and Aviva Insurance. He holds a bachelors degree from Leeds University (U.K.) in Manufacturing Systems Engineering.

Mr. brings more than 15 years experience developing enterprise applications to his position as chief technology officer, working previously for IBM Global Services in the Interactive Media Center and Scient. Her background is in private equity and corporate finance, having worked for Bankers Trust Company, HSBC Private Equity in London, and Arthur D. Little where she became Head of Corporate Finance. Ms. Mackaness earned a first class honors degree at University College London (U.K.) in Economics.
