Publicly traded on London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market, Phorm provides advertisers and online consumers with a better browsing experience by utilizing ISP data. Through its Open Internet Exchange and Webwise products, Phorm leverages browsing information provided by ISP’s to deliver relevant advertisements to online consumers and warn consumers of possible scams on the sites they are visiting.
Phorm’s methods have raised privacy concerns in Britain among consumers who don’t want their internet traffic monitored. Concerns are reinforced by the memory that Phorm used to produce spyware under the name 121Media.
Phorm has signed deals with three largest British ISPs: BT, Talk Talk, and Virgin Media.
Hugo joined InSkin Media as CEO early in 2009. He worked for the previous two years as CEO of digital behavioural targeting company Phorm, following his role as European MD at Advertising.com (AOL). Hugo spent 10 years at The Telegraph Group, as Group Managing Director, and also served as Group Marketing Director and Digital Director. He is chairman of the British Internet Publishers Alliance (BIPA), and a regular contributor to industry publications and conferences.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Kent Ertugrul, has been a member of Phorm’s Board of Directors since the company began in 2004. Kent has built up a number of businesses in finance and technology over the past 20 years. He started his career in investment banking, working at JP Morgan, Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley before going into business on his own.
His early ventures included Migs Etc, which offered tourists flights on Mig aircraft as the Soviet Union embraced market economics. Additionally, as director and chief financial officer, he oversaw the growth of Compass Technology into a leading PC-based voice mail company. In 1991 Compass merged with California based Octel Communications, which in turn was acquired by Lucent Technology.
Kent has worked with the same technology team for more than 17 years specialising in creating and developing technology to enhance social interaction. Prior to starting Phorm, Kent founded Life.
Christophe Delorme is a partner in RSR CAPITAL PTE LTD, a Singapore based investment fund. Christophe has been in Asia for 20 years, having spent 17 years in Japan as an equity derivatives broker for FIMAT, a subsidiary of Socite Gnrale North Pacific in Tokyo. From 1995, Christophe developed OTC (over the counter) functions for brokerage firms including Tullett and ICAP. Christophe then returned to FIMAT in 2003 where he established them as the leading broker in OTC derivatives in Asia. Christophe holds a BA degree from Ecole des Cadres in Paris and is fluent in French and English.
Lord Lamont was a member of the House of Commons for 25 years; Chancellor of the Exchequer between 1990 and 1993 and was a minister in the Departments of Energy, Defence and Industry. He currently serves as chairman, director and advisor for a number of companies and investment funds and has considerable business experience both in the UK and internationally.
Mark Schneider was co-founder of leading European cable group UPC, which was subsequently acquired by Liberty Global in 2005. Mark has served on public and private company boards of companies operating in over 20 countries around the world, including United Artist Entertainment, UIH, UnitedGlobalCom, UPC, SBS Broadcasting and Blockbuster Video. With his background in international cable and telecommunications, Mark brings strong operating knowledge and an extensive network of contacts to the Board.
Sharon OLeary joined Fallbrook in September 2010. She has over 25 years of increasingly responsible legal experience. Her experience includes leading the way for a company to establish the necessary internal controls and corporate governance mechanisms to implement the Sarbanes Oxley Act as well as leading a company to a successful IPO. Prior to joining Fallbrook, Sharon served as the General Counsel at Phorm, Inc., working in the London office. Phorm provides a product to Internet Services Providers.
She began her legal career as an assistant deputy attorney general for the New York State Organized Crime Task Force. Subsequently, she served in a variety of legal capacities for U.S. West, was a partner at Browning, Kaleczyc, Berry & Hoven, P.C. in Helena, Montana, and served as the Vice President Law at MediaOne Group, Inc. when it was spun off from U.S. West.
