Broadview Networks Holdings, Inc., doing business as Broadview Networks, provides voice and data communications, and managed network solutions to small and medium sized business or enterprise customers in Northeast and Mid-Atlantic United States. Its voice services include local, regional, domestic, and international telephone services, as well as T-1 primary rate interface and session initiation protocol, private line, voicemail, caller identification, call waiting and forwarding, conference calling, and voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) services.
The company, formerly known as Bridgecom International, Inc., was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Rye Brook, New York.
Mr. Michael K. Robinson joined the Company as the Chief Executive Officer in March 2005 and is responsible for all operations and strategy for the Company. Prior to this, Mr. Robinson had been with US LEC Corp., a publicly traded competitive communications provider, as executive vice president and chief financial officer since July 1998, responsible for all financial operations including treasury, general accounting and internal controls, investor relations, billing and information systems development, information technology, human resources and real estate.
Prior to joining US LEC, Mr. Robinson spent 10 years in various management positions with the telecommunications division of Alcatel, including executive vice president and chief financial officer of Alcatel Data Networks and the worldwide financial operations of the enterprise and data networking division of Alcatel.
Prior to these roles, Mr. Robinson was chief financial officer of Alcatel Network Systems.
Mr. Brian P. Crotty, Chief Operating Officer, has over 15 years of senior management experience in the telecom industry. In his role with Broadview, he is responsible for all operational aspects of the Company including sales, marketing, provisioning, billing, network operations, repair, field services and customer service. Mr. Crotty formerly served as Bridgecoms Chief Operating Officer prior to its merger with Broadview.
Prior to joining Bridgecom in 2000, he held a succession of positions with CoreComm Ltd., a publicly traded integrated communications provider with facilities throughout the Northeast and Midwest, most recently acting as Director of Operations. Mr. Crotty joined CoreComm Ltd., through the acquisition of USN Communications Inc. where he held a succession of senior management roles in both sales and operations, most recently as Vice President of Operations.
Prior to that, Mr.
Vern M. Kennedy has served as our Chief Executive Officer since October 2008.
Prior to that Mr. Kennedy has founded and/or held the CEO position in a variety of domestic and international high-tech start-ups including: ScreenPC, Inc. a developer of next generation thin client technology; Magnet Networks, Ltd the leading competitive provider of voice, video and data services in Ireland; Broadview Networks, Inc.- one of the only surviving competitive voice and data carriers currently doing nearly $500 million in sales; and Open Support Systems, Inc. a leading provider of software systems to the telecommunications industry.
Mr. Kennedy holds a B.S.E.E. with Honors in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Princeton University and an M.B.A. with Honors from NYU.
Mallika leverages her banking background and experience working with entrepreneurs in her work at Omidyar Network India Advisors. She focuses on sourcing and investing in education sector opportunities as well as consumer Internet and mobile technology organizations.
Previously, Mallika served as the first country head for Endeavor India. An Omidyar Network grantee, Endeavor is a global nonprofit organization whose support of high-impact entrepreneurs enables economic growth in emerging markets. Prior to joining Endeavor, Mallika worked in leveraged finance in the investment banking division at Citigroup (now Citi), where she structured and executed deals for financing leveraged buy-outs. Mallika had previously worked at Broadview, where she provided M&A advisory services to early-stage information technology companies. She began her career in the fixed income division at Goldman Sachs.
