Rich has more than 20 years’ experience in information technology development, implementation, consulting, and management. Prior to TIM Group, he consulted to senior management at McKinsey & Company. During his 10 years with McKinsey, Rich guided financial services clients on IT management issues, developed product and market strategies for leading IT providers, and helped lead the firm’s computer industry practice.
Rich was also a management consultant at the Information Consulting Group and at Coopers & Lybrand, where he directed large development and implementation projects in the securities industry.
Rich received a BSc in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA from New York University, and a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Rocheste
Jeffrey Fredrick is an internationally recognised expert on software development. He joined TIM Group in 2011 as a 20-year veteran with experience across the software development lifecycle. An early adopter of XP and Agile software development, he has consistently been at the forefront of software development. Jeffrey joined TIM Group from Urbancode where as Chief Evangelist he was a regular speaker and coach on Agile development. Before Urbancode Jeffrey was an independent consultant for software companies on topics including corporate strategy, product management, and interaction design. Jeffrey’s Silicon Valley experience includes time at Agitar where he was VP of Product Management, and Alphablox where he was a pioneer in modern continuous integration practices. Jeffrey was also founder and VP of Engineering at OpenAvenue, an early software-as-service company offering web hosted development tools.
Finance Director with 10 years of board level experience delivering change and financial strength to fast growing organisations. Joined TIM Group in 2010 from Isis Telecommunications where as Finance Director (and previously Financial Controller) oversaw rapid growth before and after a successful sale of the business to Vodafone in 2006. Previously trained as a Chartered Accountant with BDO Stoy Hayward, one of the worlds largest accountancy firms.
Charley is the founder and Managing General Partner of GrandBanks Capital, focusing on investments in Internet infrastructure, software and software services, security and storage applications, mobile media, financial technologies and services, and wireless technologies and services. Charley’s investment career includes investments in 48 portfolio companies, which have resulted in 36 exits thus far. His track record includes 15 companies that went public, of which 10 achieved market caps in excess of $1 billion. The combined value of exits during Charleys venture career has been over $6.1 billion which includes the $4.3 billion purchase of GeoCities by Yahoo!. Charley was recently named one of the top 50 venture capitalists on the east coast by AlwaysOn. Charley currently serves on the boards of a number of GBC companies, including; GlassHouse Technologies, KnowledgeVision, SendMe Mobile, SilverRail Technologies, TIM Group.
Jeffrey M. Hurst is a General Partner and a Co-founder of Commonwealth Capital Ventures, a leading venture capital firm, focussed on early and growth stage technology companies. Jeff has more than 20 years of venture capital and private equity experience within the communications infrastructure, information technology, and analytical systems industries.
Before co-founding Commonwealth in 1995, Jeff was a Senior Vice President with GE Capitals Corporate Finance Group. Jeff previously served as a Managing Partner of Cox Partners, a private equity firm, after starting his career with Bankers Trust Company.
Jeff earned a BA in History and Economics from Duke University and an MBA from Tulane University.
Jeff is also a Trustee of The New England Aquarium.
Tawfiq is a Partner of JLA Ventures, a venture capitalist firm specialising in investing in growing technology firms. He has been with JLA since 1998 and uses his extensive experience in venture capital to evaluate, structure, and execute investments in various sectors of the technology industry.
Prior to joining JLA Ventures, Tawfiq was employed by Buro Happold, U.K. as a Consulting Engineer overseeing Sheraton Hotels International construction activities in Jordan.
Tawfiq received his Honours Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering degree from University College, London University, U.K.

Roland C. Beaulieu was the CEO/President of First Coverage prior to the merger with TIM Group back in 2011. He is a senior level executive with 25+ years of hands-on business leadership and development experience within both industry leading and growth-stage companies.
Prior to joining First Coverage (and TIM Group’s board of directors), he was responsible for the daily operations of Corporate Communications Broadcast Network (CCBN), serving as Chief Operating Officer prior to the company’s sale to Thomson Financial/Reuters. He was also the Head of CCBN’s Institutional Management Group, which successfully launched “StreetEvents,” a corporate reporting tool which became the defacto standard of Wall Street institutions.
Before his tenure at CCBN, Roland spent 13 years in a variety of positions at Thomson Financial.
Jack is currently CEO of MTS markets, Europes leading market for the trading of fixed income securities. Previous to his appointment at MTS in September, 2009, he had had over 20 years of experience in financial markets, most recently as COO of Superderivatives and CEO of ICAP Electronic Broking, which included responsibility for Brokertec and EBS.
Prior to that, he was CEO of EBS, the spot FX electronic broking platform sold to ICAP in 2006. Jack previously worked in a variety of roles at Citigroup in the UK and Australia, and at Midland Montague in Sydney where he started as a Foreign Exchange Dealer in 1982.
He has served as a member of the Bank of England joint standing committee and the US federal reserve FX committee
