SUP-X: The StartUp Expo, Florida’s premier early stage technology conference, announced today that serial entrepreneur, Joy Randels, will chair its #women4women morning forum. The forum, which is devoted to female founders, entrepreneurs, and investors and women in general, features two panels and a fireside chat and Randels will be curating the content and the speakers. SUP-X will be held on Thursday, July 25th, at the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center.
Randels launched the first of 14 ventures at age 18. Nine successful acquisitions and two IPO’s later she exercises her passion for building high-value, scalable businesses as the founder and CEO of New Market Partners where she has helped launch 96 companies, worked with over 800 more to amplify their leadership, build scalable businesses, and transform their valuations. She is an active early stage investor and leads efforts to create opportunities for talented tech entrepreneurs worldwide.
Randels has led public and private companies from bootstrap through venture and IPO, raising over $360M in capital and generating more than $15B in revenue. Her experience extends to industry leaders Apple, Akamai and CA Technologies where she was responsible for over $2B in revenue and 17 acquisitions.
Randels is launching her next venture, Moxxii this summer. Moxxii was founded at the urging of women and men Joy has mentored. Moxxii is based on the culmination of Randel’s experience and designed to empower female leaders and their teams with what it takes to scale their businesses, achieve success and change the status quo.
“I’m so pleased to support SUP-X and have truly enjoyed participating in the event since the start. Year after year I’ve watched the event grow and each year I have made meaningful connections with women and men across the tech and venture capital communities. It has been a great experience and one I look forward to each year,” said Randels. “I am not one to play the ‘girl card’ but when the status quo isn’t meeting women’s needs, it deserves to be disrupted, and that’s what the #women4women Forum at SUP-X aims to do. Women’s entrepreneurial lives and the realities of raising capital are different than men’s and my goal is to give the audience real world examples of what it takes to launch and scale a business by featuring women who have proven there doesn’t have to be a glass ceiling.”
“Having successfully climbed the corporate ladder, achieved entrepreneurial success, claiming her spot on several boards and winning at the VC game, Joy is one of the few women to shatter the glass ceiling and claim her spot at the helm and in the boardroom. She is an amazing talent and has been a good friend and supporter of SUP-X for years now. The women who attend #women4women at SUP-X will really benefit from the fantastic panels and speakers she is recruiting and the content she is curating.” said Bob Fitts, Founder and Producer of SUP-X.
Tickets to SUP-X are $29-$299 and are on sale now and booths and sponsorships are still available as well. For more information about SUP-X, visit, www.sup-x.org/2019 or contact info@sup-x.org.
