BITH will target high potential small and mid sized federal Heath IT contractors with performance histories (a) implementing, testing and maintaining large health care government systems, (b) performing data mining and analytics that support policy decisions, and research,and (c) providing fraud and abuse detection and prevention products and services. By acquiring BrownIT Corporation BITH has established access to the federal HealthIT market as well Health IT customers, capabilities, and teamingrelationships with large contractors including GDIT and CSC. BITH will acquire 4-6 additional small and mid-sized government contractors by end of 2016.
BITH will acquire between 5-7 commercial HealthIT product and services companies by the end of 2017. In addition to Health IT system development experience to support health providers, insurance companies, and health related NPOs, BITH will target companies with products and service in (a) electronic health records, (b) cyber security, (c) health related mobile applications, and (d) 508 compliance.
Mark Brown has over 20 years of experience in the Healthcare IT (HIT) industry, including operations management, project management, business development, and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). Mr. Brown has extensive familiarity in working with healthcare payers, Medicare Advantage and Part D programs, Inpatient and outpatient payer systems, Fee-for-Service applications, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) IT infrastructure. What has characterized Mark Brown and BrownIT is an intimate knowledge of customer requirements, and both contracting and operational excellence to deliver solutions that work seamlessly and smoothly as soon as they go live. Bob Procelli has over thirty years of experience managing IT consulting and commercial product companies in support of government, fortune 500 companies, and non-profit organizations. In these capacities he has provided direction to all aspects of business operations including business development and capture, technical program operations and delivery, product development, contract negotiations, employee development, and accounting and finance. Mr. Procelli is also a licensed attorney who has served in several companies as both Vice President of Operations and In-House Counsel where he was responsible for corporate business transactions, intellectual property protection, government and commercial contracts, acquisition LOIs, and coordination of outside legal counsel.
