SageLINQ Inc. was founded in 2013 to develop Automated Vocalization of the Internet (AVTI) technology. The goal of the AVTI project is to automatically gather web content, convert and stream to listeners in audible, vocalized format.
AVTI will unlock the potential of mobile, wearable technology in a manner that requires minimal user intervention, allowing listeners, including those with visual impairment or other restriction to conventional read based browsing, to have the freedom to go about their business in a safe and comfortable manner.
In order to do this, the service must be robust, continuous and responsive even when network service is spotty, adaptive and anticipate what the listener wants to hear, and deliver quality speech that is, well ‘comprehensible and enjoyable to listen to’. While we may not be quite there yet, well, these are our goals. In order to achieve them, SageLINQ is employing several key technology advancements.
CATTS™ Advance Text To Speech
Recent advancements in TTS make realistic human speech a reality. But the output is only as good as the input, and today’s TTS lacks the ability to make intelligible sense of the widely varying information resources available on the internet. SageLINQ’s CATTS™ context sense transformation technology processes raw data from a wide variety of sources and converts that content into a form that yields quality intelligible speech. Over the past two and a half years, SageLINQ engineers have develops thousands of algorithms and tens of thousands of patches all vetted by humans to deal with these issues.
SPRY™ Transient Cloud Distribution
SageLINQ’s SPRY™ cloud distribution network gathers, processes, and relays personalized content directly to each listener. Time critical, event driven user requests are quickly relayed and processed on-demand in order to reduce latency. Personal content is never stored in the cloud, ensuring your personal content stays personal.
