SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.– Calithera Biosciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: CALA), a clinical stage biotechnology company focused on discovering and developing novel small molecule drugs for the treatment of cancer and other life-threatening diseases, today announced that it intends to offer and sell 10,000,000 shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. All of the shares of common stock are being offered by Calithera. In connection with this offering, Calithera expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to 1,500,000 additional shares of common stock.
