Ellery has served as Founder and/or CEO of multiple technology based ventures. The core of his experience is based in nanotechnology and semiconductor equipment, though most recently he served as CEO of RenewData Corp. an electronic discovery, email archiving and compliance company.
Prior to that Ellery founded and operated as CEO of several companies including NanoVance, Inc. and Integrated Solutions, Inc., a manufacturer of lithography equipment for the semiconductor industry.
Through the course of his various start-ups, Ellery has successfully raised more than $80 million in financing and has developed a track record of successfully commercializing technologies.
Ellery began his career as a CPA with Price Waterhouse & Co. His formal education consists of a BA from Gettysburg College and a Wharton MBA.
Stephen has served as VP of Product Development, Division President, and General Manager for multiple semiconductor and nanotechnology equipment manufacturing companies.
The core of his experience is based in semiconductor and nanotechnology lithography equipment although most recently he served as President, North America for Suss MicroTec Inc., a manufacturer of wafer bonding equipment as well as lithography equipment.
In addition Stephen served as VP and General Manager for Steag- Hamatech and Director of Product Marketing and Development for Ultratech Inc. Both are manufacturers of lithography equipment for the semiconductor, nanotechnology and advanced packaging industries.
Stephen has successfully and profitably developed and brought numerous semiconductor, nanotechnology and advanced packaging products to market.
Stephens formal education consists of a BS in Information Technology and Business from University of Phoenix.
Forcespinning technology was invented in the nanomaterials research laboratory of Dr. Lozano. She co-invented the technology while serving as an endowed professor of mechanical engineering at The University of TexasPan American.
Dr. Lozano has received numerous awards including the NSF CAREER award, is listed on patents for multiple nanomaterial technologies, and publishes her work in top scientific journals.
Her formal education includes a BS from Universidad de Monterrey, a MS from Rice University, and a Ph.D. from Rice University.
Brian Gilliam is currently the CFO and leads the finance, accounting, and administration groups. Prior to FibeRio, Brian was in various senior financial roles where he lead the lead the finance and accounting functions.
Prior to Renew Data, Mr. Gilliam was in senior finance and treasury roles with Nike Inc., Converse, Patagonia and General Electric.
Mr. Gilliam is a graduate of Texas A&M University where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration and attended the Pepperdine University MBA program.
Roger Lipton is the past President, CEO and co-founder of Calcitec, Inc., a biomaterials company specializing in nano-structured tissue scaffolds developed for use in the spine and general orthopedics market.
Mr. Lipton has held senior management positions in both private and public medical device companies for the past twenty years.
Prior to forming Calcitec, he was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing of ORATEC Interventions, Inc (OTEC; NASDQ), acquired by Smith and Nephew and Director of Corporate Development for Orthofix, Inc. (OFIX, NASDQ).
Mr. Lipton holds a B.S. Degree in Marketing from the University of Hartford and a degree in international business from Nijenrode Business Universiteit, The Netherlands.
Working in the technology transfer office at The University of TexasPan American Kial developed experience working with researchers to identify and protect commercially viable early stage technologies and matching those technologies with relevant emerging markets.
Kial has premier leadership and operating experience from his service as a Paratrooper in the US Army.
His formal education consists of a BA from The University of TexasAustin and a MBA from The University of TexasPan American.
Andrew Kodis leads the SABIC Technology Identification and Acquisition team at SABIC and Manages the Investment Portfolio for SABIC Ventures B.V.. In this role Andrew leads SABICs efforts to engage with holders of non-proven technology strategically aligned with SABICs Strategic Vision.
Andrew has worked for SABIC for 9 years in various roles and has 21 years experience in the energy & chemicals industries.
Andrew holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis and currently resides in the Sugar Land Texas area, home of SABICs Houston Technology Center.
Todd leads all aspects of the the North American operations of Aster Capital, a global multi-stage energy and materials technology venture capital firm headquartered in Paris, France and sponsored by three leading global industrial companies Solvay, Alstom, and Schneider Electric as well as the European Investment Fund.
Prior to joining Aster Capital, Todd served as the President and General Manager of EFI Electronics, a global leader in the manufacture and supply of surge protection and power quality devices. He has also held several positions in general management, strategy, finance and corporate development at leading firms such as Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation and Deloitte Consulting.
Todd is an active individual investor and a member of Olympus Angels, The Young Presidents Organization and the Association for Corporate Growth. He received his BA from Texas A&M University and his MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
Beto Pallares founded Joseph Advisory Services (JAS) in 2006. He brings extensive domestic and international start-up experience as an entrepreneur and in conducting due diligence for both start-ups and late stage companies. His professional experience spans working for top-tier strategy consulting firms, co-founding start-ups, international business development, nonprofit management, venture capital and military service.
In the summer of 2009, he co-founded Cottonwood Capital Partners, the general partner of Cottonwood Technology Fund, a seed and early-stage venture fund with headquarters in El Paso, TX. He serves on several corporate and nonprofit boards.
He is also an advisor to the UT Horizon Fund, the venture capital investment fund of the University of Texas System, and serves on the limited partnership advisory committees of several venture funds.

Bill received his BA from Brown University Phi Beta Kappa and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
