London Fintech Week will feature 40 international companies exhibiting over the course of the week, with each day dedicated to a different theme including Fintech Disruptors, Capital Markets and Wealthtech, Blockchain and Crypto-Finance, and Investor ICOs and Start-ups.
Sponsored by 5th Element Group and the Decade Of Women, London Fintech Week will also feature the second #HackQuantum Worldwide hackathon, taking place days prior to the conference on July 6-8 at Cocoon Networks.
“We are very excited to partner with and help underwrite London Fintech Week as well as the next stop for the amazing #HackQuantum Series,” said Amber Nystrom, co-founder of 5th Element Group and the Decade Of Women campaign. “We believe that these kinds of convenings are essential to the work we are doing to exponentiate the achievement of the UN SDGs through frontier technologies, and we’re pleased to help lead the way in this effort.”
Luis Carranza, founder of London Fintech Week and Census.xyz, noted that “In the five years since we first launched London Fintech Week, so much has changed in the fintech space. It’s exciting to be part of the history that is unfolding before our eyes, and London Fintech Week allows us the opportunity to get to know and work alongside the innovators that are driving these changes, like 5th Element Group and their Decade Of Women initiative.”
In addition to the learning and collaboration, Census.xyz will announce an exciting project at the event that lets event participants and others earn value from the data they already create and allows them to take more control of their personal data.
5th Element Group and Decade Of Women will host a reception on the evening of July 10 to honor the winners of the London #HackQuantum challenge, and to deliver two prestigious awards: the Frontier Women Award and the Quantum Impact Award.

About Fintech Week
Fintech Week is a series of conferences, exhibitions, workshops, hackathons, meetups and parties. Each day we focus on a different topic. We always ensure that there is plenty of time for networking and meeting other innovators. Fintech Week delegates come from around the globe to engage in one of the world’s leading financial services ecosystems. With 600-1,000 conference delegates per day from over 50 countries and 3,000 – 5,000 participants in events throughout the week, it’s truly an international event.
The Census project aims to unlock the value of data by making it easier convert data into something you can spend. How much is this data worth? It doesn’t matter how much it’s worth if you’re not selling it. Nearly everyone generates data, yet very few companies actually compensate people directly for data. For most, earning value from data is an afterthought, but data is a big deal to larger firms that exploit user data for large profits. We’d like to change that. We’d like to give people control of when and how they are compensated for data. It’s your data. Start acting like you own it. The Census project aims to help you take control of your data by creating a curated data marketplace.
