Bliss Lawyers is pleased to announce the addition of Krystal Studavent as Director of Business Development, leading Bliss Lawyers’ growth in the Southwest market. Krystal will oversee the expansion, leadership and management of Bliss Lawyers’ business development operations as the Company continues to deepen its footprint in the Southwest and expand its national presence. “We are thrilled to have Krystal join our team as our first business developer in the Southwest,” remarked Co-Founder and Managing Director, Debbie Epstein Henry. “Krystal’s background in both client service and as an in-house lawyer gives her the perfect blend of client focus and credibility to take Bliss to the next level of market penetration in the Southwest.”
Krystal joins Bliss from Norton Rose Fulbright, an Am Law 100 global firm where she drove operational improvements internally and supported revenue generation externally to facilitate the firm’s global commercial objectives. Prior to her law firm role, she was General Counsel and Senior Vice President, Business Development and Marketing to a major entertainment conglomerate. In that capacity, Krystal served on the executive team and was a legal and business advisor to the C-Suite. She managed a diverse and cross-functional team, oversaw revenue generating projects and served as lead on significant commercial transactions, including complex contracts, licensing, publishing, joint ventures, M&A, and marketing.
“I am excited to join Bliss Lawyers, an innovative business, which provides fulfilling job opportunities for lawyers and also values diversity and inclusion, work-life balance, and excellent client service,” said Studavent. “As the legal industry experiences unprecedented disruption, this new role puts me at the forefront of transformation, and allows me to focus on partnering with clients and presenting alternative sourcing models and legal workforce strategies.”
As a NewLaw company, Bliss is at the forefront of redefining how lawyers and clients can flexibly work together, save money and achieve outstanding results. We provide high caliber lawyers to work on temporary engagements for in-house and law firm clients (called “secondments”) while the lawyers are employed as W-2 employees of Bliss. With a network of over 30,000 lawyers, Bliss employs lawyers across the country and also offers clients the luxury of “extended interviews” where attorneys start on a temporary basis to ensure they are a good fit prior to clients hiring them as permanent employees. Bliss also handles more traditional direct hire placements. Running Bliss from a virtual platform allows Bliss to charge clients less while providing generous compensation packages to its employees. “Bliss provides our clients with cost-effective legal solutions, while offering our attorneys the ability to better balance their lives,” said Suzie Scanlon Rabinowitz, Co-Founder and Managing Director. Bliss is certified as majority women-owned by WBENC — a distinguisher for clients focused on increasing their use of diverse suppliers. “The demand for staffing flexibility continues to grow, as demonstrated by Bliss’ expanded national impact,” remarked Henry. “Krystal’s hiring demonstrates our commitment and success in growing and investing in our business to best serve our clients’ needs and fulfill the Bliss mission of ‘Happy Clients. Happy Lawyers.’”
