A campy, twisted, dark comedy, sci-fi adventure for PC that will keep you awake all night. Created by the 3D modeler of NBC’s Grimm
After working on the final season of the TV show Grimm, Chad formed Squirrel Dagger and started work on his own game called Lost Lake Lights. He wanted to create a game that told a story people would never forget. A game that didn’t take itself so serious, like all the other games on the market. If Army of Darkness, X-files, and Firewatch had a child it would be Lost Lake Lights. The game Is about a young couple that goes camping at Lost Lake in Oregon. Strange events set the mood to what will become the most terrifying and ridiculous night of their lives. The girlfriend character, Miranda, gets abducted by aliens while looking for firewood, and that’s just where the story begins. The UFO crashes across the lake, so you must travel on foot and survive the most traumatic hike of your life. There’s a M. Night Shyamalantype twist wrapped up in the story that you won’t see coming. It’s a point and click adventure. You’ll discover ton’s of secrets and can talk to anyone you come across. You never know what you’ll find around the next bend. The story well keep you strapped to your seat waiting to see what happens next. If you enjoyed games such as FIRE WATCH, LIFE IS STRANGE, GONE HOME Or Telltale’s WALKING DEAD then you’ll love Lost Lake Lights. The initial funding goal will bring Lost Lake Lights to Windows PC on Steam Direct Platform or DRM free if you prefer.
The environments are created with a process called photogrammetry so you can expect to explore a realistic world.
The levels will be linear so every step around the lake will be a unique, handcrafted, memorable experience.
Using Unreal Engine 4 allows for the use of the best visuals and tech available.
Discover why the aliens chose you as their subjects in a point and click adventure. An interactive dialogue system lets you choose what to say, allowing different responses from NPC’s. Survive the most terrifying night of your life! They are among us.
Featuring game dialogue that only an indie game company would dare to use. Discover clues by clicking on environment objects. Use items to create interesting situations and solve puzzles.
The game is for Window’s PC on Steam Direct Platform
If the stretch goal reaches 40k Squirrel Dagger will be able to afford studio quality voice acting to bring this game to the next level. Squirrel Dagger will also be able to add support for Appleand Linux.
Future platforms if the specific locked stretch goal is reached: PS4, Xbox one and Nintendo Switch.

About the owner of Squirrel Dagger and creator of Lost Lake Lights:
Chad has over 10 years of game and film experience. He has worked on environments for Tomb Raider, characters on Tony Hawk and most recently was the lead creature modeler on the NBC TV show Grimm. He’s also experienced in sound design and scripting. During his years in the game and film industry, he has amassed a network of professionals who have contributed to this project. Josh, the Technical Director at Hive-FX on Grimm, helped rig the characters. His friend Courtney did the voice acting for the girlfriend character. The band Atomic Candles is producing the music. If this project get’s funded, he will have enough funding to hire additional programmers and artists to make this game as great as it can be. Below are a few of the AAA games Chad has worked on over the years.
Squirrel Dagger Games added a lot of limited rewards so fans have a chance to become a part of the development process. Rewards such as: get yourself modeled as a character in game, create a joke, plant an easter egg or design a log cabin interior. Plus tons of other rad stuff like art books, game soundtracks, and autographed prints.
Lost Lake Lights came to Kickstarter so Chad could continue to work on Lost Lake Lights full time. He knows he can’t create this game entirely on his own, so, with your pledges, He will be able to hire the programmers, voice acting and animators he needs to make this game not only a reality, but the best it can be!
If you are unable to help fund but you’d still like to help make it a reality then share this game with your friends! The more people that know about it, the better it will do! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Let’s make this game a reality!

The largest challenge is developing a game on your own. By successfully reaching the funding goal for this project Squirrel Dagger Games will be able to hire the help It needs to finish this project and reduce the risks. The industry experience Chad has acquired over 10 years gives him the knowledge to estimate deadlines and keep the project on track. But there’s always unexpected issues that arise. Squirrel Dagger has a plan in place to potentially release it as an episodic game- If we run out of funding or fall too far behind. This way the game will still have a future. This plan only comes into play if the game is funded.
