The waiting room at the doctor’s office is about to get a lot less hectic thanks to Yosi.
The result: greater efficiency, shorter in-office wait times, enhanced customization, and improved satisfaction for healthcare providers and the patients they serve.
Yosi has already been deployed in more than 40 clinics and provided services to more than 20,000 patients. Yosi is a web-based mobile solution that requires no download to be used.
So what are you waiting for? If your doctor’s office has Yosi, it definitely isn’t paperwork.
Every year in the United States, people make more than 1.2B+ visits to the doctor’s office. But despite the fact that it’s 2017 and there are digital solutions for everything from paying bills to sending birthday cards, for some reason when it comes to healthcare, paper is still the default in waiting rooms across the country. In fact, 85% of healthcare services are still paper-based.
If you’ve ever set foot inside of a doctor’s office, this experience probably sounds familiar: arriving at the doctor’s office way in advance of your appointment, then balancing a clipboard on your knee while you fill out a series of repetitive forms, checking and rechecking information you’ve input a hundred times before but will have to input yet again, then waiting beyond the time your appointment was actually supposed to begin while the overworked, overextended office staff check and recheck that same information and enter it all into their system by hand.
Patient paperwork isn’t just annoying — it creates all kinds of problems for healthcare practices and their staff. With healthcare costs rising, practices are under mounting pressure to find efficiencies and improve operations – and continuing to rely on paper documents for patient onboarding is about as inefficientas it is possible to be.
The problems we experience at check-in are a microcosm of larger challenges facing healthcare, and they all trace back to a single issue: the lack of interoperability within the system. For patients, there is no way to keep track of all of their visits and access their medical records across different practices. And for practitioners, there is no way to share critical patient health information with other physicians that are part of the patient’s care continuum.
Technology holds the key to solving all of these problems. But while healthcare providers have taken their first tentative steps toward adopting tech-forward solutions with the adoption of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, there is still a long way to go when it comes to building a truly tech-forward healthcare industry, with end-to-end digital solution that allows practices to manage the complete patient-practice interaction throughout a patient’s entire continuum of care.
With Yosi, we’re building toward that tech-forward future for healthcare. We are building the first truly mobile, truly streamlined patient onboarding and communication platform. In the process, we’re helping to reinvent the way healthcare gets done.
So put away the clipboards and say “goodbye” to the stack of magazines in the waiting room, because with Yosi they’re about to become a thing of the past.
Yosi is giving the patient onboarding process is a much-needed update for the 21st century.
Yosi is not a replacement for existing EMR systems. Instead, Yosi works with doctors’ EMR systems to create a seamless, streamlined digital patient intake and communication process, with digital solutions for each step in a patient’s journey through the practice:
Yosi manages
Patient check-in and registration
Appointment confirmation via SMS
Insurance verification
Payment collection
Care coordination.
YOSI is:
Remote
Yosi’s patient check-in solution is not tied to waiting rooms, meaning patients can easily access the service from the comfort and convenience of home.
Mobile
Yosi is a completely and 100% mobile patient onboarding solution. Patients can complete their forms from a desktop or mobile device. For patients who are unable to access a device from home, Yosi’s in-office tablets allow for simple digital form completion in the office as well.
Customizable
The Yosi SaaS platform is fully customizable to fit the specific needs and workflow of each clinic and hospital. Practices can customize frequency, timing, and content of SMS messages and content of intake/registration questionnaires, and more — plus, Yosi will automatically pre-fill forms with the correct information from the patient’s profile.
Easy-to-use
With Yosi, patients’ check-in information comes to them. Our white-label solution lets practices send check-in materials directly from their office to patients via email or SMS, making check-in simple and stress-free — no pesky app download required.
End-to-end
Yosi’s SaaS platform for clinics provides a single source to manage the entire patient onboarding process.
Interoperable
Yosi is interoperable with most major EMRs systems, including Epic, athenahealth, Allscripts, Greenway, MDOffice and more.
With Yosi, the days of filling out endless paperwork by hand in the doctor’s office are at an end. Patients using Yosi simply log into app on their computer or mobile device and manage all of their information across all of their healthcare providers through a single, unified hub.
Yosi users can provide their healthcare providers without the need to fill out a form on a clipboard – all demographic information from the comfort and convenience of home. In fact, patients using Yosi will barely need to type their information: with Yosi’s object character recognition (OCR) technology, they can simply snap pictures of their insurance cards and photo ID, and Yosi will extract all the data from the cards and pre-fill their profile, improving user experience and accuracy.
The patient experience is just the beginning of what makes Yosi a transformative step forward for the healthcare industry. For healthcare providers, Yosi is built for doctors by doctors to provide a seamless, end-to-end solution for managing patient relationships and information.
Healthcare providers can customize their intake forms to meet the specific needs of their practice. Because patients using Yosi complete their check-in ahead of their arrival at the office, medical practices receive their registration forms pre-filled with patient data even before the patient’s visit, which improves healthcare providers’ waiting room workflow while also reducing claim denials. Yosi also gives practitioners a simple, secure way to share important health information about their patients with other providers in the care continuum – even if those providers use a different EMR system.
Momentum is building toward our goal of building a more tech-forward, patient-centric healthcare future with Yosi.
The Yosi app is fully developed and available for use! It is a web-based mobile solution that does not require a download for use. No need to download via the app store. As long as patients have internet and a web browser with their phone, device, or home computer – they are Yosi ready! Yosi has already been deployed in over 40 clinics, and provided services to more than 15,000 patients. More than 60% of patients at our partner practices are already checking in with Yosi — powerful proof of the simplicity and intuitiveness of our solution.
Successful Yosi deployments include:
Yosi is proud to be partnering with EPIC, a leading provider of EMR systems, to ensure that Yosi works seamlessly with the EMR.
Yosi is also proud to have been selected by DreamIt Health, one of the top 10 accelerators in the world, and by StartUp Health Academy. Each of these organizations recognized the revolutionary potential of Yosi, and were essential helping to get Yosi out of development and into practices across the country.
It’s an exciting time at Yosi, as we work toward getting our platform into the hands of more of the patients and practices it has been developed to help. We are currently in the process of scaling up our sales force, so that we can better meet the demand from healthcare providers that are interested in integrating Yosi into their practice.
And this is just the beginning. We’re currently working on more features that will complement our patient onboarding system and grow Yosi into a true end-to-end solution for managing the patient-practice relationship.
