Our students attend a Title I school. We are an inner city charter school which was recently named a priority school. The students come each morning with smiles on their faces and stories and hugs to share.
The kindergarten students are like ocean sponges.
They want to soak up knowledge and new experiences. They are ready to learn as much as they can. By the time they walk into school, they have overcome the struggles of poverty, broken homes, and homelessness. Our charter school strives to meet all needs of our learners. We are a small school with big futures.
One of the first lessons we learn about being healthy is drink water. So often young children get so involved in what they are doing, they forget to drink water. These water bottles will keep “take a drink” in the front of their minds while they are playing, studying or watching TV at home.
Hydrated students are able to learn and focus.
We need a class set of water bottles. We will use them everyday to stay hydrated in our classroom. By having water bottles with us, we can keep our stamina for learning. We will take them home on weekends while we are busy and active so we can stay hydrated.
