Hi Friends! My name is Alex, one of the neighbors here in Kindergarten.
Welcome to Kinder City, where our neighborhood is quite diverse!
We have families that speak English, Spanish, and even a dialect of Spanish. Some families are big and some small. Some friends are adopted, others have to go visit their parents far away because they can’t come here to visit.
Our community has lots of farms and factories. We did have a college, but they had to close. This means some of our friends have to move, our practicum teachers are going to new schools, and we can’t go to visit our college anymore.
Thankfully, we have a great school that helps us learn and become great neighbors! We love our Kinder City!
Kinder City is in need of small spaces that children can come together to work as a team, get to know each other better, and focus on learning a new skill or character trait.
A community is built by creating opportunities for sharing, caring, and interacting with one another.
The bean bag chairs offer flexible seating for children to relax while reading stories or listening to QR code stories on their iPad. Table and stools provide an area for small groups to interact together. It can be converted into a Kinder Cafe’ table, a friendly board game area, or an exploration station for science and discovery.
To help build social skills and character traits, we will team up to utilize puppets, theater, and block people to re-enact stories or talk through social situations to build tolerance and strengthen in our community! The theater can also be converted into as a grocery store, museum display, a drive-thru window, and much more.
The possibilities are endless with the imaginations of children in Kinder City! Thanks for helping bring these worldly experiences to our classroom community.
