Last year I set out to learn about neural networks. It was way harder than it needed to be! Everything I needed to know was scattered between random pdf documents, blog posts and academic papers on arXiv. There were other tutorials and MOOCs – but they were very theoretical, whilst I just wanted to get started and code.
So now I want to create what I wish I’d had – a neural networks MOOC aimed at hackers. After completing the course, you should be broadly familiar with ways neural networks are used, be able to understand the academic literature, be able to set up a deep learning rig, and of course, hack on your own projects.
The prerequisites to the class will be – calculus and basic ability to code.
