Costume and set design structure´s prototypes.
Devising project towards the creation of a Contemporary Circus, Theatre and visual poetry show by Marcos Rivas&Morgane Jaudou, Maintomano Company. The expected premiere will happen during 2018 and it will be a show designed to be played in theatres and also street.
In this new project, Maintomano pretends to accentuate the style which has been defining the company along its trajectory: a kind of show where theatre and contemporary circus are the scenic tools used to transmit emotions to the spectator.
Visual poetry, or the poetry from the bodies through the view of circus´s inner singularity, is used to create images that move our souls.
Fragility, risk and freedom are, or at least should be, inner elements of circus that we want to underline in the show as in live:
-The fragility of balance, as in some situations we sometimes live.
-The risk of circus: flying, tumbling…the risk of every human relation.
-Freedom…in circus we fly, make impossible feats and move the audience to dream and this way we all learn that there´s no impossible and in our lives, there´s always a new trick to learn.
For this new creation we need to build a prototype of the main structure of the show in order to be able to try out ideas for devising the show. This would be used as aerial rig, knive board and general set design. It´s formed by two twin metal&wood structures that we would manipulate creating diferent landscapes for each scene.
We also would like to make a prototype of the costume-knive board to be able to try safe knive throwing to a moving board, which is one of the challenges of this show.
Those are some of the present you can receive participating and we will have a new design when the new show is ready!

Maintomano is formed by Morgane Jaudou and Marcos Rivas who had been working together for more than ten years.
Morgane Jaudou
Acrobatic Flyer and aerialist.
Morgane began with the circus at the age of five, and by the time she was 18 she was training in aerial acrobatics (trapeze and silk). She began at school of circus in Toulouse Le Lido and later graduated with the option circus arts at the baccalaureate from the school of Chatellerault. She continued her studies, but this time as a flyer and acrobat at The Circus Space in London.
There she formed Maintomano with Marcos Rivas Farpón, with whom she’s created various shows. They are currently touring with “Ekilibua” and “Pincelados” where they fuse acrobatics, movement, humor, and poetic images to tell their stories and a bit from others.
From 2005 to the present she has worked events, festivals, cabarets, cruises and in companies like the Insect Circus, Bassline Circus and Generating Company-UK, Teatro de la Zarzuela and Teatro Real. Although what she likes to do above all else is tour with Maintomano. In the family!
“She has a pressure cooker in her head, a volcano in her soul, fireworks in her heart…convinces one to follow into her madness and sometimes tires herself and others, but elicits more than one smile for those that surround her.”
Marcos Rivas Farpón
Acrobatic Base&knive thrower.
He begins his artistic career in 1994, when by the most absolute chance, he enters an association of jugglers and discovers a passion for the stage. From there he decides to train and attends four years at the School of Dramatic Art of Valladolid, after which he decides to make the circus his main stage tool.
After a year working in Japan as an actor-juggler, he decides to continue his circus training and for the next two years dives in the Escuela Municipal de Circo of Alcorcón and at the Escuela de Circo in Madrid where he completes many courses in circus techniques, dance, and clowning as permitted by his still young body. Not satisfied with that, he enrolls in The Circus Space in London where he obtains a diploma in physical circus theater. That is where he begins his artistic journey (…and more) alongside Morgane Jaudou with whom he forms Maintomano which for the past 10 years has taken its creations through the streets and theaters reaping smiles, applause, and prizes
“Circusman, Curisous, and Cook. Stubbornly restless. More than thinking, he prefers to dream about what he is going to do.”
