Women’s Circus has provided a supportive space for women to reconnect with their bodies through social circus for over 25 years. With a variety of training and support programs, including artist residencies, and community outreach workshops, Women’s Circus makes a remarkable contribution to the artistic and local community.
Women’s Circus extensive training, community workshop and artistic development programs run year-round, in West Footscray’s Drill Hall where it has been based since 2006.
As a charming heritage listed building there are council limitations and quirks that make it a MAJOR challenge to keep warm in the winter months for those using the space.

As the Drill Hall is a Heritage Listed building there are very specific guidelines as to what kind of heaters we can install in the building. Because of these regulations we are unable to purchase and install wall suspended heating and cooling systems.
After lenghthy research we have found that we can use free standing heaters/radiators are the most efficient and effective way to keep the space warm through the coldest winter days.
