Introductory Overview:
Adistry provides a way for regulated companies (cannabis, alcohol, nutraceutical) to discover, purchase, track and trade all forms of compliant advertising opportunities from one location. Adistry officially formed in 07/14. The founders of Adistry went through the cannabis industry’s accelerator CanopyBoulder in Q2/16. What makes the company unique is their proprietary platform aimed to change the way media buying is currently done. Adistry is desirable because of the team and their ever-growing book of happy customers.
Team:
Adistry’s co-founders have worked with each other for over 8 years on multiple projects. 18-months ago while trying to monetize a separate cannabis related website, they discovered that the industry still had a major pain point – advertising. Since they both have extensive experience in marketing, advertising, and technology, they knew that with their expertise, it was the perfect opportunity to fill this need.
Meghan Larson (CEO) went to school for pre-med and marketing. Meghan helped launch 5 other startups, and has extensive experience working with small businesses. She devours neuromarketing books and volunteers for a homeless shelter.
Daniel Cox (CTO) – is a full stack developer and systems architect. He has designed and developed multiple high volume marketing and ad serving technologies, and has worked for small marketing startups to Fortune 500s, for over 14 years.
DJ Leaderach (Business Dev) – Graphic designer and 15 years of experience in sales.
Competition:
There are currently no companies that have automated the agency for small businesses. Currently companies outsource their buying to a traditional agency or will task their overworked marketing person to discover and track the best advertising and marketing opportunities. Both of these options waste too much time and money.
