For only 1 dollar, a native tree will be planted in your honor at a rural school in Argentina, and you are also contributing to the making of the documentary project “Ceibo”
This Campaign is to help launch the first episode of a documentary series about ecological restoration called “Ceibo” (named after the argentinian national tree). The project is conformed by Agustin Carri (photographer and filmmaker); Agustina Tesio (graphic and web design), Josefina Vaquero (marketing and bussiness management). Ceibo is a documentary series that will show clear examples of ecological regeneration around the world, looking for different ways of improving our relationship with the environment. Each episode will feature different projects, and information about getting involved in each one. Amongst them: permaculture centers, ecovillages, private natural reserves, urban interventions, animal refugees, etc.
Half of the filmmaking process is already done, but to finish the first episode, Agustín, our photographer, needs to go to the Peruvian Amazon, to a place called “Corredor Tambopata”. This place reunites more than 15 ecological restoration projects, including private conservation areas dedicated to reforestation, wildlife refugees and an Amazonic Indigenous community.
To accomplish this, financial help is needed. Thay’s why we compromise ourselves that FOR EVERY ONE DOLLAR DONATION, we will plant a native tree in a rural school in Argentina during 2016; and for those who want to make bigger donations, we have bigger rewards!
What else will be show in the documentary? The first episode, the “Pilot”, will show a complete panorama of what’s going on in the following places and how YOU can visit each one: 1- Ecology in the United States: East End Eden, a permaculture project in Ojai, California, available for worktrade, courses and workshops; and LA Ecovillage , which is right in the middle of the city of Los Angeles, and also offers workshops and volunteering. (This stage is already being documented) 3- Peruvian Amazon: The episode will show images of the Chontachaka Ecological Reserve, Fundo Kerenda Homet and the Tambopata Ecological Corredor, these are very advanced examples of reforestation in the jungle, wildlife conservation and protection of indigenous communities. 4- Argentina: It’s our home, a country with abundant natural reserves and ecological proyects to document.
Please donate and share this page. The rewards are really amazing! Let’s make of this world a better place for the future generations.
