We also work hard to keep our members honest. Everyone is required to take their profile photos with our in-app software, so there are no old or re-touched photos (and no unpleasant surprises on your first date!). We are also the only dating app with live in-app video chat. Now you can see and meet your match on video without giving up any of your personal contact info until you’re ready.
Online dating has become one of the most popular ways for people to meet for a potential relationship. Unfortunately, many of the most popular platforms have many of the same flaws.
Many online platforms are riddled with people who don’t look like their photos because they used old or re-touched profile photos. There are countless fake profiles and extensive unsolicited communication.
Most platforms also take a long time for profile creation. They have long and tedious questionnaires, and use superficially-based compatibility software to “match” people who may or may not be a good fit for each other.
How are we supposed to find a long-term relationship in all of that mess?
The Purple Factor is a mobile and desktop dating app that addresses the largest challenges in the online dating world.
Instead of taking loads of time writing out your profile and answering long questionnaires, our members can quickly answer compatibility questions in a fun, visual way that feels more like an online game. The questions asked are derived from qualities proven through research that exist in successful long-term relationships.
Profile design is reflective of the answers given, making it simple for matches to quickly assess a prospect’s compatibility. Profile photos are taken in-app, this makes it difficult for users to falsify their identities or appearances increasing security as well as helping users know what people actually look like.
Matches are created (when there is a 75% compatibility score based on our algorithm and their answers to the core questions), plus each user must approve each other before communication can be initiated.
Our unique in-app Video Chat component allows users to safely see each other and communicate in real time without having to surrender email addresses, phone numbers, social media profiles or usernames for video apps such as Tango or Skype.
Our matching algorithm creates a percentage match based on core compatibility factors and qualities that are commonly found in successful long-term relationships. Members can only see profiles of other members with a 75% match or higher, preventing “profile shopping” and time wasted looking at members you aren’t compatible with.
Instead of a tedious questionnaire, creating your Purple Factor profile will feel more like a social media game. Most of the questions and answers are depicted with images, and the answers come together to form the profile without the need for additional typing or writing.
To decrease fraudulent profiles and fake accounts, there is no free access outside of the 3-day trial period, requiring a debit or credit card to become a member. This gives members identity accountability and improves the overall experience of our genuine users.
Members will be required to take their profile photo with the in-app software, preventing people from using old or retouched photos and giving members a better dating experience.
Our most popular, not seen in the market feature, is our unique video chat component. This gives members the ability to meet and see each other live before meeting in person, without having to share personal contact information.
The Purple Factor has accomplished so much and made a lot of traction so far!
All concepts, design and planning are completed (even the algorithms!). All we need to do now is build the app and go to market.
We have already been met with high anticipation when speaking in groups, even though our current advertising has been limited. We’ve been asked to let people know as soon as it’s available for download. We know our local market is very excited, and we also have high social media engagement outside of our local market that suggests we have a product people will be eager to try.

We have exciting things on the horizon for The Purple Factor, including completing construction of the app itself, protecting all the pieces and assets to The Purple Factor with patents, IPs, and trademarks, and officially kicking off our beta launch across north Atlanta.
Melissa is a long time entrepreneur with a passion for all things digital and social. She has been in Marketing for over 20 years and had the opportunity to work for some of the largest advertising establishments in the country such as DEX Media, LivingSocial and Citadel.
Melissa is the sole owner of The Purple Factor and will be the full time manager of all day to day operations and will also be responsible for managing the ad campaigns and daily social engagement on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Michael comes to us from 25 years leading local and national sales teams in several organizations within BellSouth, AT&T, and advertising agencies, owner of multi-million dollar businesses, and well traveled throughout the world.
With strict focus on attribution goals and financial disciplines, Michael is determined to quickly bring The Purple Factor to a competitive position within the first two years.
Sam is Chief Executive Officer of Cosmital, Inc, with a demonstrated, successful history of leadership in the technology industry. He specializes in predictive and big data analytics and platform agnostic interface and application development. His experience spans Business Process Improvement, Operations Management and Analysis, Government and Military Contracting, and Organizational Leadership.
Sam provides The Purple Factor the development expertise and a technology vision that is a balance between scalability, sustainability, and ingenuity.
Christian graduated in 2007 with a Bachelors in Fine Arts with focus on Visual Communication. He has 10 years’ experience in the graphic design arena. Christian is meticulous in making sure that the small details get as much attention as the main components of any design.
Christian is responsible for all the visual pieces being used to build The Purple Factor. He also has multiple design concept ideas that set The Purple Factor apart.
D’Vonteono studied Computer Engineering with a minor in Psychology at Michigan State University. He has been working in IT for the past 6 years.
He will be responsible for using the free platforms such as Reddit and SnapChat to build awareness to the millennial market. He will be generating content to engage the 18-24 year old market, which will include quizzes and mini apps to encourage sign ups.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Tennessee and a MBA from Samford University. For 25 years, she has worked with organizations both large and small, developing strategic solutions for sales, marketing, communications and operations. During that time she saw first-hand the pitfalls that can occur when these efforts lack focus and consistency.
Amy has dedicated her work to a cross-functional strategic approach that focuses on fostering a customer-centric environment within an organization. This environment ensures all work is geared towards planning, building, and managing all stages of the customer’s brand relationship.
