Video Revival is launching it’s first season of free educational programs for teens and adults and needs your support!
If you’re from the neighborhood, hello again! If you’re new to us, then we’ll tell you a little about who we are.
In the Summer of 2016, a few of us found an intimate commercial space on Rogers Ave, and decided that what central Brooklyn really needed was a place for film and video art. So we built a movie theater from scratch! Since then, we’ve been showing movies and art, holding community filmmaker events, and making friends and connections. At just under 8 months in operation, we have acquired our 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status as a charitable organization, and are preparing to launch a new series of FREE educational programs to further our mission to increase accessibility to the arts in our community!
We have received a generous offer from a local sponsor to match half of our budget for our first 12-week season of educational programming for teens and adults, and we need your help to meet our goal for the other half and launch this program!
Our complete budget for this 12-week season is outlined below:
—————————————————
Instructor Stipend, Young Adult (4 hours/week @ 12 weeks) – $1440.00
Instructor Stipend, Adult Continuing Education (4 hours/week @ 12 weeks) – $1440.00
Licensing – $1400.00
Operational Fees – $1100.00
Full Educational Season (Two 12-week sessions): $5380.00
—————————————————–
Our goal to receive sponsor-matched funds: $2690.00

Join us in supporting local arts education as we expand our programming to serve our community!
Starting any new program is difficult, especially with getting the word out. We plan to utilize strategic outreach in advance and ensure that announcements and information are spread about this new program to encourage attendance and retention for as many people as we can hold!
