From the time I received my EZ Bake oven I’ve loved cooking and sold my little (soggy) apple pies to kind neighbors. Through high school I was the one who prepared most of our evening meals and in college I worked as a waitress in fine dining. An epiphany occurred one evening when I was managing a small restaurant and it was this: providing hard-working people with a place to relax and enjoy an evening with friends and family was probably more to my liking than becoming an economist, or a doctor, or whatever else I thought I might do. I turned long experience in food service to food manufacturing when I realized how much perfectly good farm produce goes to waste. I trust that the Kiva community, my friends and family will support our mission once again and help me expand on the PRESERVE Farm Kitchens mission.
