Unleash your primal instincts in the classic FPS game modes, Free for All and Deathmatch, and in the new multiplayer mode known as Ritual, which embodies the ritualistic overtones of sports.
The significance of sport as a ritual is based on the status of the athletes who are significant social figures, due to their capacity of representing important human values, and who have the power to mediate between the individuals, who comprise the audience, and the moral order of the community.
Ritual surrounds major sporting events. Occurrences of rituals in every sport is typically carried out over pre-game, game-play, and post-game rituals.
In our unique and spectacular multiplayer mode, the player, solo or in team, must complete a minimum number of kills to charge a bar. Once the upload is complete, the Altar in the map will be activated and the accumulated energy will have to be released as sacrifice to complete and win the game.
The tournament is only the first step.
Periodically, we intend to organize seasonal championships, associated, on rotation, to each game mode.
Year unknown. The technology has reached unexpected levels around the world, starting from the main countries leading in the industry and spreading slowly on a large scale. Thanks to the most advanced mechanical and computer technologies, the most serious world pressing problems has been resolved in a short period of time.
The dependence on technology, however, has led people to deprive themselves of their deepest emotions, sacrificing humanity to order and discipline. In daily life, the expression of human feelings is undesirable to the point that has exploded the trend to permanently wear an augmented reality helmet. White, symbol of purity simplicity and elegance, is now dressed by people around the world who refuse also colors and emotions they could evoke in them.
The last bastion of human instincts, where feelings and emotions can run free and explodes, is the tournament of Leap of Champions. Whenever the League of Champions transmits a match, everybody tunes their personal viewer on it.
Any other sport has never had the same appeal, any other entertainment program had never gain the same amount of money. Gradually, all sports have gone to disappear and Leap of Champions last as the only survived, flowing between real and virtual.
Everything revolves around the figure of the Champion: a professional fighter endowed of particular hyper-technological weapons and special suit equipped with rockets to speed up running or increase the high of jumps.
A Champion receives mind-boggling salary and has the highest social prestige. Everyone knows the Champions, everyone wants to be a Champion.
They are viewed with a veiled sense of veneration by common people, because they represent the only individuals free from social chains. In the arena, the Champions are the only privileged who can express their emotions in a visible virtual violence.
In a world where the League of Champions dominates, nothing is impossible. Post-apocalyptic dreams? A memory of the planet Earth as it was centuries ago? A space battlefield?
Leap of Champions Arenas are non-places where the rest of the world population fights to be admitted in, while the Champions fight to have a chance to climb the world rankings and emerge from anonymity.
The maps are designed with an infinite love for details but with playability in mind. Optimized to assure the fastness required by an FPS arena shooter, they are designed to achieve a late-PS3 quality without compromising the smoothness of the game.
This area is composed by both ancient and modern architecture. Here we have the typical urban buildings of the 20th century together with the futuristic structure of the new architecture technology. Most of buildings are crumbled and cracked, in order to concentrate the Champions into the war environment they play with.
This map is set around a crystallized planet from which Aarim is extracted and used for Splinterator ammo and, more generally, as building material. The league decided to mix Aarim home world with historical temples from the past. The final result is an awesome alien environment melted with the ancient history of our planet.
Here we have a naturalistic environment around which the League thought to build a flying structure of mechanical platforms linked through bridges. The wilderness meets the future in this irregular star-shaped map, full of bright technology all over the place against the background of huge old trees.
In this environment, the League replicated a wide cape covered in snow and ice. Through the snow, there is a military base composed by blue glowed bunkers all over the map in which there also are some spaceship remains from time to time. The general feeling is that a huge war took place around long time ago.
The weapons are designed around providing different tactics. Coherently to the genre, the power-ups will be available inside the map, but it will not be a gun exchange: the Gun of Champion will evolve itself.
The Gun of Champions is a lightweight and maneuverable weapon that fires bursts of low potential hits to focus on high rate of fire. No Champion can define himself this way if he hasn’t a perfect mastery of this weapon. It is the most common weapon as well as the most used during the tournament. It is the modern evolution of an assault machine-gun that, after the first kills, can be turned into a Gatling with a rate of fire that approximates the speed of sound. The Gatling becomes white-hot with the use, but it’s equipped with an internal cooling system that reduces the pause between overheatings.
This weapon is the evolution of a traditional taser gun and it’s the only weapon which doesn’t need munitions. Two metal alloy arches produce an electrical discharge 1,000 times higher than the more powerful taser gun available in the market 100 years before. This weapon, can be used in mid-ranged and close combats. The evolution of the Tesler allows to shoot a ball of lightning which can be grabbed and moved through the simple electrical discharge.
Inside the arena, spread around each map battlefield, you will find other four evolution kit for your weapon. Surviving in the arena is a matter of strategy and skills, but evolve the Gun of Champions in one of these weapons can really make the difference between victory and defeat.
The Splinterator is a terrible weapon which takes its name from a particular rock discovered on another planet during a space reconnaissance, the Aarim. This rock has the characteristic to merge with the heat becoming explosive on contact and to harden as diamond if cooled. The weapon uses this principle freezing and breaking the rock before hurl it at great speed on the enemy. The Splinterator evolves into a launcher of mines of melted rock which explode near groups of enemies. With a little strategy, it is possible to inflict significant damages to the entire opposing team.
Powersteam is a deadly weapon not using ammunitions, but an intense pressured hot air to cause severe damages to enemies. Powersteam can also crush rocks thanks to a powerful inner motor and steam blowholes that increase the pressure of air but needs a long period of time to load from a shot to another. Its evolution is a powerful flamethrower which inflicts devastating over-time area damage using, instead of hot air, high pressured liquid fire.
Deathlock is structured like a traditional sniper rifle with which it is possible to hit an enemy from a very long distance. All its technical properties are boosted by technology. Deathlock minimizes the vibrations of each gunshot guaranteeing a minimum recoil and is equipped with a high-precision telescopic sight with a capacity of 100x zoom. The weapon, however, is heavier than the others because it contains the components for a self-assembling drone. In fact, the evolution allows to roll the components of the drone creating a support tower equipped with a fifty caliber cannons which guarantee to reduce to zero the possibility of error. The drone can be recalled and re-assembled in the designated area through a holographic control device.
Washout takes its name from its main feature: sweeping away everything in front of him. This mass destruction weapon is loaded with long distance ultratech missiles capable of breaking down anything. Being hit is equivalent to being blown up. The missiles contain a quantity of explosives such that, if they impact on the ground, the explosion can inflict considerable damages to anyone is in its range. Washout evolves into a weapon shooting missiles which rain on the target area and detonate unison triggering a huge chain effect.

Your Battlesuit is specifically designed to maximize the agility of the movements. It is equipped with retrorockets capable of allowing high and controlled jumps. It seems like a simple sports uniform, but due to its mobility, it can become your main defensive resource cause it also provides you a high level of protection. It’s possible to improve the aesthetic of the armors with in-game currency and unlocking cosmetic only collectible climbing the global rank. Nowadays, we have designed the Battlesuit and three more sets, but we are working on a lot of other armors.
Support Leap of Champions on Kickstarter! The League will be so grateful that will give you the Backer Shell, a special kit improving the Battlesuit with additional pieces of armor. The shoulder straps, the boots and the helmet are specifically designed to emphasize the reflexes of the Champion.
The Ritual is the most sacred and followed event around Leap of Champions tournament. An aggressive skin is perfect to intimidate opponents: so for this mode the League provides to Champions a Battlesuit with thoracic armor and boots which recall a figure halfway between a demon and a shaman.
Washout has the ability to wipe out everything in its path. The League provide an appropriate set to match with it, composed by an armor with aerodynamic appendages facilitating the flight of the Champion. The helmet is inspired by Mercury, messenger of the Gods. Although, in this case, the news are not good for those who face a Champion wearing the Washout Armor.

LEAF games & software is an Italian indie studio based in Rome creating and developing mobile apps and PC games for consumer and business market.
Our games are meant to be innovative and created from scratch by a young, reliable and qualified team. We believe in the originality and uniqueness of ideas and we want to grant a fun gaming experience to people of all ages.
Our people have the skills to build a professional game at responsible costs and high quality: 3D and 2D artists, programmers specialized on the use of Unity 5, game and sound designers and project managers.
Leap of Champion is our first PC game, but, in our first year we have released four puzzle games available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
In the early 2016, we joined the Global Game Jam taking place in Rome. During the 48 hour development cycle, we made the first Leap of Champions and we fell in love so hard with the game that we decided to create a whole world for the protagonist, the Champion.
Leap of Champion is our first PC game, but, we strongly believe that it could become a true e-sport where players all over the world can compete and fight, and give a new and refreshing spin on the Arena FPS genre.
As you all know, video games are complex projects. During and after the campaign we will keep you involved and we wish you support us with feedbacks and tips. By backing this campaign, you’ll become a part of the process.
There are many risks involved in the development of a video game and the biggest risk for us would be falling behind schedule and releasing the game later than we planned. We’ve constructed a carefully laid-out strategy to prevent such an outcome, but no one can predict for all potential possibilities or problems during the development process. If some choices we have to make are between quality and time, we always strive for quality.
Finally, the possibility exists that we will summon in the Leap of Champions Arena and that we will not survive the battle.
We don’t have years and years of experience on our background so we take all the risks double seriously, more than any game studio on Earth.
