Marine is an inspiring female farmer from the Shirak region. Marine is 48, and experienced a terrible earthquake in 1988. Because of the effects of the earthquake, this region is considered to be an underserved zone with a very high poverty rate. There Marine and her husband, Hamlet, 51, raise their son, who is going to attend university this year.
Marine works really hard to take care of her son’s education expenses. She keeps cows, oxen, and hens, as well as growing potatoes and beets. Her husband runs a cozy stall in the central marketplace. He sells vegetables, eggs, and dairy products made by Marine.
Now, Marine has kindly asked for this loan to purchase four dairy calves, potato seeds and fertilizer to be able to deliver her harvest and homemade dairy products to the marketplace. This loan will impact her sales volume and will result in increased income.
Marine is really grateful for this opportunity.
