LegacyArmour is a global service that allows customers to store important information and documents in a secure online vault. Each customer specifies when they want this information to be delivered to the people they designate. Customers can select a specific date or simply set the information to be released after their demise or incapacitation. LegacyArmour ensures that no information – or legacy – is ever lost.
It happens all the time. People lose important information and vital documents. In our struggle to keep these items secure, we often misplace them. It’s frustrating and annoying.
Life happens. Kids grow up quickly and move away to start families of their own, parents and family pass away, and somehow all of those conversations that you meant to have with your parents or your kids never happened. You never did find out what insurance policies your parents had, where their estate documents were, or even discuss what their last wishes were.
You never got to tell your kids all of the stories about their heritage, their family, or their ancestry. The information that wasn’t passed on is gone forever, and even if you did share some of it, memories of the stories will change over time.
To solve these problems, someone could just upload their information to Dropbox or OneDrive, but there are still two problems with these solutions. (1) The information is not fully encrypted, so anyone with minimal hacking skills could retrieve it. (2) If something happens to the uploader, no one else will know where the information is or how to get to it.
LegacyArmour was created to solve all of these problems – and more.
Virtually everyone has a story about information that was lost, including one of the co-founders of LegacyArmour. Sahar Ismail would visit her grandmother in Jerusalem every summer. During her visits, her grandmother would tell stories about how her grandfather made his fortune as a merchant. Since her grandfather was distrustful of banks, he kept his wealth in gold and buried it around his large property. However, over the years, the locations of the hidden wealth became foggier until they were forgotten completely. When Sahar’s grandmother died, her father searched for the family fortune until he too passed away.
As Sahar told her family’s story, she realized that other people had similar tales of lost information and lost legacies. As a result, she decided to create LegacyArmour to give people a way to pass information to future generations, at a time of their choosing, with the knowledge that the information will be secure until that time.
With LegacyArmour, customers have a secure electronic vault where they can store important information that they want others to have someday – but not today. That information can be legal documents like wills and powers of attorney, or more personal information such as family stories or pictures. LegacyArmour securely stores the information and then ensures that it is delivered to the designated recipient as directed by the subscriber. No other company in the world provides a service that combines delivery on the death or incapacitation of a subscriber with military level encryption to ensure confidentiality.
Your life matters. Your legacy matters. That is why we created LegacyArmour.
For maximized convenience, LegacyArmour is designed to be as user-friendly as possible while still using the latest technology and military level encryption.
LegacyArmour is designed to benefit both individuals and businesses.
Individuals can protect their family and legacy by securing (1) family photos and videos, (2) legal documents and health directives, (3) ancestry information, (4) biography and eulogy documents, and (5) website and social media usernames and passwords.
Businesses can manage their clients’ assets and have them delivered to loved ones in the future. LegacyArmour is a powerful tool for estate planners, bankers, investment planners, life insurance firms, human resources firms, and military organizations.
There are several features that make LegacyArmour the best product on the market.
Encryption: LegacyArmour encrypts every file on the subscriber’s computer using AES-256 encryption. Since the data is encrypted before it is received by LegacyArmour, our team can never decrypt the uploaded file. This keeps it safe from hackers, employees, and even governments. The uploaded file is also encrypted a second time by LegacyArmour and a third time by our storage provider, Microsoft.
Redundant Fallback: Each file is stored in multiple locations that are separated geographically to ensure that not even a natural disaster will compromise the integrity of information. Each copy is validated and verified with a SHA-256 hashing algorithm to ensure that the copy is perfect. For added redundancy, LegacyArmour maintains a static, long-term copy of each active vault in a secure, environmentally-controlled location.
Delivery Service: A LegacyArmour vault isn’t just storage. It is active information that is delivered to a recipient as the subscriber directed. Recipients don’t need to know where the information is located or even that it exists. When the time is right, LegacyArmour delivers the information, fully secure, into the hands of the recipient.
Since its founding in 2013, LegacyArmour has been growing steadily to become the premier service for online storage and delivery of critical information and documents. In a short period of time, our team has accomplished some incredible things.
The next steps for LegacyArmour depend on funding; however, our team has several ideas for new functionalities and services.
Health Card for EMS: We offer a wallet card with critical health information that can be used by emergency responders in the event of a health crisis and will soon integrate a fax-back service in addition to the internet access.
Connecting Hospitals: When one of our clients is admitted to a hospital, the staff can call us to access health directive for the patient.
Partnering with Legal Providers: We plan to partner with legal document providers to give them access to legal templates.
Saving Family Treasures: To turn LegacyArmour into a family photo vault, we will provide auto-syncing with the client’s cloud storage of choice. We also plan to provide the option to sync with a customer’s Ancestry.com account.
